Working closely with Finance and Operational teams, you'll investigate and resolve reconciliation variances, analyse financial data, identify risks and help drive process improvements.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data and building strong stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced financial environment.\nHow you'll contribute\nPerform daily reconciliation activities, including matching, investigation and escalation of aged items.\nComplete monthly ledger reconciliations, adjustments and transfers accurately and on time.\nAnalyse financial data to identify discrepancies and work with stakeholders to resolve them.\nSupport issue resolution and remediation activities, ensuring risks are managed appropriately.\nContribute to process improvements and maintain reconciliation documentation in line with policy requirements.\nWe're looking for these essential skills\nA basic understanding of accounting and reconciliation principles.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to work with large volumes of numerical data.\nGood spreadsheet skills, particularly within Excel.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.\nIt's a plus if you also have these skills\nExperience using Sun General Ledger.\nPrevious experience in a reconciliations, finance operations or accounting environment.\nKnowledge of financial controls, governance or risk management processes.\nExperience identifying and implementing process improvements.\nUnderstanding of issue management and remediation activities.\n#LI-Hybrid\nAt NewDay, we value all types of diversity.
