This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine technical expertise, coaching and continuous improvement to shape the future of software delivery at NewDay.\nWe know great candidates may not meet every requirement listed, so if this role excites you, we'd encourage you to apply and help us understand the value you could bring.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nYou'll lead and develop a team of engineers, creating a collaborative environment that supports learning, innovation and continuous improvement.\nYou'll design, build and enhance developer tooling that improves the experience of engineering teams across NewDay.\nYou'll help shape platform engineering standards, automation approaches and software delivery practices.\nYou'll collaborate with engineering teams to remove obstacles and enable faster, safer and more reliable software delivery.\nYou'll provide technical guidance and support for complex platform and developer experience challenges.\nWe're Looking For These Essential Skills\nStrong experience building applications, tools or platforms using .Net TypeScript, Node.js and modern JavaScript technologies.\nAbility to develop developer-focused tooling that improves productivity, software quality and engineering efficiency.\nPassion for creating exceptional developer experiences through automation, self-service capabilities and intuitive tooling.\nKnowledge of software testing practices and approaches that support reliable, well-engineered solutions.\nUnderstanding of public cloud platforms, continuous integration, continuous deployment and modern Agile ways of working.\nIt's a Plus If You Also Have These Skills\nExperience working with Azure cloud platform services.\nExperience working with AWS cloud platform services.\nKnowledge of Infrastructure as Code approaches using tools such as Pulumi.\nExperience mentoring, coaching or supporting the development of other engineers.\nUnderstanding of platform engineering, developer enablement or cloud-native engineering practices.\nAt NewDay, we value all types of diversity.
