Working closely with Product and Engineering, you'll guide design from discovery and research through to launch and continuous improvement, helping us deliver products that make a real difference to our customers, including the journeys that help new customers discover, join and engage with NewDay.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nLead and develop a team of Product Designers, creating an environment where colleagues can grow, learn and perform at their best.\nShape customer experiences across our digital products, ensuring solutions are intuitive, accessible and grounded in user needs.\nWork closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Business Development teams to turn customer insight and business goals into practical design solutions.\nOversee the end-to-end design process, from discovery, research and ideation through to prototyping, validation and delivery.\nRaise the quality and consistency of design across products, journeys and customer touchpoints, helping teams create experiences that are clear, engaging and easy to use.\nEssential Skills\nStrong experience in Product Design, UX and UI Design within digital product environments.\nExperience designing customer acquisition and onboarding journeys that make it easy for customers to get started.\nProven ability to lead, coach and develop Product Designers while maintaining high standards of design craft.\nExperience conducting and applying user research, usability testing and customer insight to influence product decisions.\nConfidence explaining design decisions, challenging constructively and influencing direction through insight and evidence.\nWe'd Love You To Know Or Learn\nExperience optimising customer onboarding journeys, reducing drop-off and improving conversion through design-led solutions.\nUnderstanding of customer acquisition funnels and the role design plays in helping customers successfully move from discovery through to onboarding and engagement.\nExperience supporting new client pitch work and business development opportunities.\nExperience working within a regulated environment such as financial services.\nFamiliarity with tools such as Figma, UserZoom and Jira, along with accessibility standards including WCAG.\nWhy NewDay?\nHelp shape digital experiences used by millions of customers across the UK.\nLead and develop a talented team while continuing to grow your own leadership capability.\nInfluence products and journeys that play a key role in attracting and onboarding new customers.\nWork alongside talented colleagues across Product, Engineering, Commercial and Business Development teams.\nJoin an inclusive culture that encourages curiosity, learning, continuous improvement and new ideas.\nAt NewDay, we value all types of diversity.
