This role ensures continuous operation, regulatory compliance, and energy efficiency while leading cross-functional initiatives and multi-site projects.\nResponsibilities:\nOversee the design, maintenance, and reliability of chiller systems and air compressors across three manufacturing sites.\nSupport continuous operation and energy optimization of HVAC systems.\nCoordinate with cross-functional site teams and external vendors to ensure uptime and compliance.\nLead multi-site projects involving facility upgrades, equipment lifecycle planning, and root cause analysis of system failures.\nDevelop and standardize preventative maintenance programs across all sites.\nAnalyze system performance data to drive operational efficiency.\nEnsure all systems meet local regulatory and safety standards.\nCollaborate with senior maintenance staff on various projects.\nMaintain accurate facility records and prepare reports for management.\nPerform other duties as assigned by leadership to support the overall needs of the team and company\nQualifications:\n5+ years of progressive experience in facilities, mechanical, or reliability engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment.\nDemonstrated hands-on experience with chiller systems, air compressors, nitrogen systems, HVAC, and fire protection/suppression systems.\nExperience leading multi-site or cross-functional capital and reliability projects.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Facilities Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred; an equivalent combination of technical training and hands-on experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred.\nSkills:\nWorking knowledge of NFPA fire alarm and suppression standards and applicable OSHA/EPA regulatory requirements.\nStrong root cause analysis and reliability-centered maintenance skills.\nProficiency with CMMS platforms and the ability to analyze system performance data to identify trends and drive efficiency.\nAbility to manage external vendors and coordinate across site teams to maintain uptime and compliance.\nStrong project management, communication, and organizational skills.\nPhysical Requirements & Work Environment:\nWork is performed in manufacturing, distribution, and mechanical-room environments with exposure to noise, temperature variation, and moving equipment.\nMust be able to access elevated platforms, mechanical mezzanines, and confined equipment spaces as required.\nTravel between the three supported manufacturing sites is required.\n“The Virginia base pay range for this position is from $84,000 to $115,500.
