This role combines inventory management duties with equipment operation, supporting both warehouse and logistics functions. Will help with daily inventory transactions and perform physical counts and verifications as needed. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to identify discrepancies, and the use of inventory management systems to track and update data. This individual must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with vendors, customers, co-workers and supervisors, while achieving and enhancing performance standards.\nSpecific objectives include:\nMaintain Inventory Accuracy\nReduce Inventory Discrepancies\nUtilize Inventory Management Systems\nOptimize Storage Locations\nEnsure Compliance\nGenerate cycle counts\nMicrosoft Excel & Microsoft Word Proficiency\nCollaborate Across Departments\nResponsibilities:\nOperate power industrial equipment safely and efficiently.\nPerform cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.\nTrack inventory movements using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (SAP).\nInvestigate discrepancies and resolve issues related to inventory variances.\nAssist in processing transfers between warehouses and updating inventory databases.\nGenerate reports and documentation for inventory adjustments and reconciliations.\nAccurate processing of systemic cycle counts in active and bulk pick locations.\nAccurate stocking of inventory into assigned active pick locations and High Rack reserve.\nIdentifying and reporting discrepancies to the Shipping Supervisor and/or Shipping Leader.\nResearch non conformances identified in the warehouse. \nDevelop and demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, including the ability to efficiently create, format, and manage spreadsheets and documents for professional use.\nUse Microsoft Excel to record, track, and analyze inventory data during cycle counts.\nCreate and maintain spreadsheets with formulas, filters, and pivot tables to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation.\nGenerate inventory variance reports and summaries to support operational decision-making.\nUtilize Microsoft Word to document cycle count procedures, findings, and corrective actions.\nPrepare professional reports, memos, and communication related to inventory audits and adjustments.\nMaintain organized and standardized documentation for compliance and internal review.\nAssist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.\nMust be willing to work in any department in the DC as necessary (Shipping, Packing, Picking, Returns-projects, VAS, and QC).\nOther duties outlined by Inventory Control Supervisor.\nMust always maintain a professional attitude.\nMust maintain a clean and safe work environment.\nFollows all safety procedures and report safety infractions.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment.\nFlexibility in a changing work environment.\nExcellent attendance and punctuality is expected.\nMust be able to work weekends and OT when required.\nMust be able to use computer and handheld Wi-Fi devices.\nNavigate through Warehouse Management System to perform job related functions.\nKey Qualifications:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\nPreferred 2-year or more experience in distribution functions and/or material handling operations\nStrong problem-solving skills\nGood organization skills\nGood verbal and written communications skills \nStrong computer skills (Windows/Excel)\nWilling to be certified and operate equipment such as Stock Picker, Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack and Reach Truck\nMust be able to pass drug test (Marijuana included)\nNewell Brands (NASDAQ: NWL) is a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands, including Rubbermaid, Sharpie, Graco, Coleman, Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Yankee Candle, Paper Mate, FoodSaver, Dymo, EXPO, Elmer’s, Oster, NUK, Spontex and Campingaz.
