We work together to win, grow, and make a real impact-supported by a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative environment where you can be your best, every day.\nPOSITION SUMMARY: Monitor, troubleshoot, setup, changeover, and startup, and shutdown specific manufacturing equipment including automation.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAccurately perform machine / mold set-up and shutdown duties for molding operations.\nAssist with sample/validation runs on new and revised products.\nDocument machine and automation settings to include; mold setup and program changes as defined by written instructions.\nIdentify, troubleshoot and resolve machine or automation malfunctions, quality, and in-process issues.\nMachine operation including controls, safety switches, restarts/start-ups, and shutdowns.\nMonitor and record machine performance rates.\nComplete required Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks as assigned.\nKeep a clean work area, machines / equipment and sustain 6S principles.\nAdhere to and comply with all written GMP/Safety policies and procedures.\nParticipate in PEAK initiatives as directed.\nPerform routine safety checks on equipment.\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment.\nAttend required corporate training/meetings\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nAll job functions to be completed in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, company guidelines and policies.\nREPORTS TO: Manufacturing Supervisor\nREQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION LEVEL:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nComplete and pass required medical screening.\nObtain and maintain a valid forklift license.\nPreferred: Previous experience in the plastics manufacturing industry.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:\nIntermediate math and reading\nIntermediate computer skills\nProcedure comprehension\nMust be dependable and take ownership of the assigned work area.\nAbility to adapt to changing manufacturing priorities, including overtime schedules\nAbility to achieve and consistently perform at required manufacturing rates\nAdvanced molding processing knowledge\nAbility to read and comprehend engineering diagrams\nAbility to work independently\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to stand, sit, or walk up to 90% of the shift.\nLift up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.\nMust be able to frequently carry (up to 30 feet each time) up to 25 pounds.\nHave full range of motion of the waist and neck.\nMust be able to frequently bend (to the floor), twist, climb, kneel and have unrestricted use of upper extremities and perform over-head reaching.\nPush/Pull up to 200 pounds.\nNewell Brands (NASDAQ: NWL) is a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands, including Rubbermaid, Sharpie, Graco, Coleman, Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Yankee Candle, Paper Mate, FoodSaver, Dymo, EXPO, Elmer’s, Oster, NUK, Spontex and Campingaz.
