We work together to win, grow, and make a real impact-supported by a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative environment where you can be your best, every day.\nNewell Brands is searching for a highly motivated Product Engineer to play a key role in new product development efforts and implement improvements to existing products.\nThis position will:\nSupport new product development and sustaining engineering activities from concept through production launch, ensuring alignment with defined product, cost, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements\nWork cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, sourcing, and supply chain teams to support product development and project execution\nEnsure product compliance with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements and escalate risks as appropriate\nKey Responsibilities\nReview product designs, CAD models, and engineering documentation to assess fit, function, and manufacturability\n Develop test plans and support execution of validation and performance testing activities\nApply quality engineering tools, including FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP, during product and process development\nExecute changes in the product using change control process\nInvestigate product and process issues, including data collection, root cause analysis, and participation in CAPA activities\nSupport customer and consumer complaint investigations and resolution of quality issues\nAnalyze product and process data to identify trends and support findings and recommendations\n Participate in tooling reviews, manufacturing trials, and production qualification activities\nMaintain engineering and quality documentation, including specifications, risk assessments, and validation records\nTravel domestically and internationally as needed.\nQualifications:\nBachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Plastics Engineering preferred).\n4 plus yrs product development experience preferably with plastics.\nProblem Solving, Organizational, Planning and prioritization, multi-tasking skills.\nBasic competency with CAD (Solidworks or Creo) with ability to complete detailed review of 3D models and assessment of 2D drawings.\nWorking knowledge of quality methods and systems, including statistics, sampling, auditing, and structured problem-solving methodologies\nUnderstanding of plastic molding and extrusion manufacturing process, capabilities and design requirements desired.\nDemonstrates strong interpersonal and project management skills.\nMust be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCompetencies with other materials and manufacturing technologies (e.g., metals)\nExperience in consumer product is plus.\nExperience/competency with Electronics is plus.\n*Please note this position will not be able to sponsor H1B visa or support OPT status.\nNewell Brands (NASDAQ: NWL) is a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands, including Rubbermaid, Sharpie, Graco, Coleman, Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Yankee Candle, Paper Mate, FoodSaver, Dymo, EXPO, Elmer’s, Oster, NUK, Spontex and Campingaz.
