We work together to win, grow, and make a real impact-supported by a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative environment where you can be your best, every day.\nRole Summary\nThe Sr Assoc, Internal Audit: Gen Proc & Systems supports the execution of a risk based internal audit plan for a multinational Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) organization. This is an execution focused role responsible for independently performing audit procedures, documenting results, and identifying control gaps and operational improvement opportunities across core financial and operational processes. The candidate will partner closely with Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain stakeholders to develop a sound understanding of end to end processes and associated risks.\nThe role requires strong financial and operational audit capabilities, proficiency in English, and working knowledge of SAP used solely to support audit testing. The candidate will leverage data analytics to enhance audit effectiveness, prepares inspection ready workpapers, support clear communication of audit results, and perform follow up testing to validate remediation.\nKey Responsibilities\nExecute assigned audit procedures in support of financial, operational, compliance, and SOX related audits, in accordance with IIA Standards and the company’s internal audit methodology.\nPerform walkthroughs, risk assessments, and control testing across core CPG processes, including:\nOrder to Cash\nProcure to Pay\nSales & Operations Planning\nInventory management (manufactured and sourced finished goods)\nManufacturing operations and cost accounting\nSupply chain, logistics, and third party sourcing\nPerform interim and year-end SOX testing\nRecord to Report\nQualifications & Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Operations. Master’s degree preferred.\n3-5 years of experience in internal audit or external audit (Big 4 or large public accounting preferred).\nExperience with manufacturing, inventory management, and consumer goods industries highly desirable.\nSolid understanding of GAAP, SOX/ICFR, NBC, internal controls, and business process risks.\nWorking knowledge of SAP is a plus.\nWorking knowledge of Workiva a plus.\nExperience applying data analytics to audit planning, testing, or reporting.\nProfessional certification (CIA, or equivalent) preferred or in progress.\nFluent English communication skills (written and verbal); Spanish a plus.\nStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and professional skepticism.\nAbility to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines with limited supervision.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels of the organization\nProven experience interacting with and presenting to middle and senior management. \nWillingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required (approximately 25-35%).\nNewell Brands (NASDAQ: NWL) is a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands, including Rubbermaid, Sharpie, Graco, Coleman, Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Yankee Candle, Paper Mate, FoodSaver, Dymo, EXPO, Elmer’s, Oster, NUK, Spontex and Campingaz.
