By creating a robust and innovative solution, this leader will enable enhanced care management, utilization management, and data-driven decision-making-ultimately working to improve healthcare outcomes for millions of Americans.\n\nRole & responsibilities\nThe Senior QA on this transformative project is responsible for building and leading a team of collaborative\nIn this role, you'll be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive data validation strategies, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that reports and data extracts accurately reflect underlying business data and requirements. You'll work closely with technical and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into effective testing approaches.\nDesign, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans to validate reporting systems, data extracts, and business intelligence outputs.\nWrite, optimize, and peer-review complex SQL queries to verify data accuracy, transformations, and reporting logic.\nTrace data lineage across source systems, ETL processes, and reporting layers to identify inconsistencies and ensure data integrity.\nValidate calculations, aggregations, formatting, and business metrics against backend data and established requirements.\nInvestigate data discrepancies by analyzing raw datasets, SQL logic, and ETL pipelines to identify root causes.\nIdentify edge cases, unexpected data patterns, and potential risks that could affect reporting quality.\nDocument and track defects, providing clear reproduction steps, technical findings, and recommendations for resolution.\nCollaborate with data engineers, reporting teams, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and establish effective validation criteria.\nMaintain SQL scripts, test cases, and technical documentation using Git and established version control practices.\nDevelop and maintain documentation covering test scenarios, QA procedures, validation results, and data definitions.\nProactively identify opportunities to improve data quality, testing efficiency, and overall QA processes.\nTake ownership of assigned testing activities, ensuring accurate and reliable reporting deliverables.\nYou’re a Perfect Match If You Have:\nAdvanced SQL & Code Review: Strong experience writing, optimizing, and reviewing complex SQL queries to ensure data accuracy, logical correctness, and performance.\nData Lineage Analysis: Proven ability to trace data from source systems through transformation processes to reporting layers, ensuring consistency and integrity.\nTest Design & Execution: Hands-on experience designing, documenting, and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases from scratch.\nData Validation: Strong experience validating data extracts, aggregations, calculations, and formatting against backend data sources.\nRoot Cause Analysis: Ability to investigate raw data, ETL pipelines, and SQL queries to identify the underlying causes of data discrepancies and recommend effective solutions.\nComplex Query Debugging: Experience isolating issues in complex SQL queries by breaking down logic and identifying inconsistencies.\nEdge Case Testing: Ability to identify non-obvious scenarios, data anomalies, and potential failures that may affect reporting accuracy.\nVersion Control: Experience using Git to manage SQL scripts, test code, and technical documentation, including branching and pull requests.\nDefect Management: Experience documenting, tracking, and reporting defects with clear reproduction steps, supporting evidence, and root cause findings.\nBusiness Requirements & Metrics: Ability to translate business requirements into actionable testing criteria and validate reporting logic against established business definitions and KPIs.\nTechnical Documentation: Strong ability to document test cases, QA processes, validation results, and data dictionaries for technical and business stakeholders.\nOwnership & Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying data quality risks, improving QA processes, and independently investigating complex issues.\nCommunication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with data engineering, reporting, and business teams.\nThe Offer\nNewfire Global is committed to consistent compensation practices across our organization. Total compensation for this role is market driven, with a salary of $103,853 - $145.650. Base pay is ultimately determined based on a candidate's skills, expertise, and experience.\n\nOffers are contingent upon successful completion of a background screening.
