We leverage functional genomics, pooled perturbation screening, and machine learning models to unravel the biology of epigenetic aging and disease using experiments of unprecedented scale.\nPosition\nNewLimit is seeking a highly motivated Scientist/Senior Scientist in Immunology to lead and execute key discovery-to-preclinical research efforts in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, with a strong emphasis on T cell and regulatory T cell (Treg) biology. This role will design and implement in vitro screening assays to support lead selection and contribute to preclinical efficacy, safety, and mechanism-of-action studies. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to support program advancement toward IND-enabling studies.\nWhat you'll do\nIn your role as a Scientist, you will:\nCollaborate with Single Cell Technology, Epigenetic Editing, and Predictive Modeling teams to design, build, and evaluate epigenetic reprogramming interventions for aged T cells, including integration and interpretation of complex, multi-modal datasets\nDevelop scalable functional assays in T cells and Tregs to predict therapeutic activity and inform lead selection\nDesign and lead in vivo and in vitro immunology studies to support target discovery, validation, and preclinical development\nContribute deep expertise in inflammatory and autoimmune disease biology to experimental design and data-driven program strategy\nDrive research in Treg biology, including differentiation, stability, and suppressive function\nAuthor or contribute to study reports, internal data packages, and regulatory-supporting documentation\nMentor junior scientists and foster a collaborative, rigorous scientific culture\nPresent data, analyses, and scientific recommendations clearly to internal teams and leadership\nRequirements\nPh.D. in immunology, cell biology, or a related field or BS/MS with 6+ years of relevant industry experience\nHands-on experience with multi-parameter flow cytometry\nExperience designing in vivo models of autoimmune or inflammatory disease\nExperience with primary immune cell isolation, ex vivo culture, and Treg functional assay\nNice to have\nExperience with pooled in vitro or in vivo screening approaches using bulk or single-cell readouts (e.g., CRISPR fitness screens, Perturb-seq, CROP-seq)\nExperience with rheumatoid arthritis and/or colitis models\nExperience authoring IND-supporting study reports\nExperience managing or partnering with CROs to support preclinical studies, including alignment on study design, timelines, and data quality\nFamiliarity with basic computational tools for data analysis (e.g., Python, R)\nBenefits\nNewLimit offers generous benefits to ensure our team can focus on our mission:\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) with company match\nPaid parental leave\nIndustry-leading paid time off (PTO) - 20 days/year for all employees + holidays\nMeals and snacks on-site\nSalary Range: $130,000 to $180,000.
