Management qualification or relevant housekeeping qualification would be advantageous.\n\n Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a housekeeping environment within a hotel, boutique hotel or similar hospitality establishment.\n\n At least 1–2 years' supervisory or management experience.\n\n Previous experience managing a small housekeeping team would be advantageous\n\n Strong leadership and team management skills.\n\n Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.\n\n Good verbal and written communication skills.\n\n Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving abilities.\n\n Good understanding of housekeeping procedures and cleaning standards.\n\n Basic stock control and cost management skills.\n\n Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.\n\n Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic administrative systems.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities \n\nHousekeeping Operations\n\n Oversee the daily housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms are cleaned, serviced and inspected according to property standards.\n\n Coordinate room allocations, cleaning schedules and daily task assignments.\n\n Ensure rooms are ready for arrivals within the required check-in times.\n\n Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities.\n\n Ensure housekeeping standards are consistently maintained across the property.\n\n Monitor room turnaround times and communicate room status updates to Front Office.\n\n Attend to guest requests and housekeeping-related complaints promptly and professionally.\n\n Team Management and Leadership\n\n Supervise, guide and motivate the housekeeping team.\n\n Allocate daily duties and ensure that staff understand their responsibilities.\n\n Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, performance and productivity.\n\n Conduct on-the-job training and ensure employees understand housekeeping procedures and standards.\n\n Maintain a positive and professional working environment.\n\n Assist with recruitment, onboarding and performance management of housekeeping employees.\n\n Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained in line with occupancy and operational requirements.\n\n Linen, Laundry and Inventory Control\n\n Oversee the handling, issuing, collection and storage of linen and guest supplies.\n\n Monitor linen stock levels and ensure effective stock rotation.\n\n Manage housekeeping consumables, cleaning materials and guest amenities.\n\n Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records.\n\n Monitor usage and minimise wastage, losses and unnecessary expenditure.\n\n Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and used correctly.\n\nQuality Assurance, Health and Safety\n\n Ensure all housekeeping activities comply with company standards and operational procedures.\n\n Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and presentation.\n\n Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored, labelled and handled safely.\n\n Monitor adherence to health, safety and hygiene regulations.\n\n Report maintenance issues and follow up on outstanding repairs.\n\n Ensure lost property is recorded, secured and handled according to company procedures.\n\nGuest Experience\n\n Ensure that guest rooms and public areas consistently meet guest expectations.\n\n Respond to guest feedback and resolve housekeeping-related concerns.\n\n Work closely with Front Office and other departments to ensure seamless guest service.\n\n Anticipate guest needs and ensure amenities and special requests are attended to.\n\n Contribute towards positive guest reviews and overall guest satisfaction.\n\nAdministration and Reporting\n\n Prepare daily housekeeping reports, including room status and outstanding tasks.\n\n Monitor departmental costs and control expenditure within the approved budget.\n\n Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, stock usage, linen and inventory.\n\n Report operational challenges and maintenance requirements to
