You will apply your expertise across Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) platforms while working closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.\nThis position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the reliability and continuous improvement of critical control systems within a world-class mining operation.\nKey Responsibilities\nThe successful candidate will:\nProvide technical support for fixed-plant industrial control systems, including DCS, PLC, and SCADA platforms.\nMaintain and optimise control systems to improve plant availability, reliability, and operational performance.\nDiagnose and resolve control system faults, failures, and performance issues in a timely manner.\nSupport the design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and modification of control system hardware and software.\nDevelop and maintain control logic, process graphics, alarms, sequences, and associated system documentation.\nMonitor control system performance and identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and reliability.\nWork closely with Operations, Electrical, Instrumentation, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve technical and operational challenges.\nSupport planned maintenance activities and ensure control systems remain available and fit for purpose.\nParticipate in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of recurring control system and plant performance issues.\nAssist with system upgrades, technology improvements, and automation projects.\nReview control system changes and ensure modifications follow approved engineering and change-management processes.\nMaintain accurate technical documentation, system backups, drawings, configuration records, and maintenance histories.\nSupport the implementation of cybersecurity and access-control requirements for industrial control systems.\nParticipate in testing, commissioning, and handover activities for new equipment and control system projects.\nProvide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to technicians and other team members.\nPromote compliance with site safety standards, engineering procedures, environmental requirements, and company policies.\nIdentify and implement opportunities to improve control system reliability, maintainability, and overall plant performance.\nQualifications & Experience\nApplicants should possess:\n ✓ Supercharge Your Job Search Stand out to employers and get the most out of Jobs.com.gh. Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.\nSignificant professional experience working with industrial control and automation systems.\nStrong hands-on experience with DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems in an industrial, processing, mining, or similar environment.\nExperience in control system configuration, programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance.\nStrong understanding of industrial instrumentation, process control, automation networks, and control-system architecture.\nExperience supporting fixed-plant operations will be an advantage.\nKnowledge of industrial communication protocols and control-system networking.\nExperience with system upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.\nStrong technical documentation and analytical
