Complete these 4 quick steps: \n Register as a Candidate or sign in if you already have an account. \n Complete Your Profile Add your professional and contact details. \n Upload or Update Your CV Keep your latest CV ready for applications. \n Upgrade Your CV for Free Use our premium CV templates at no cost. \n You will coordinate engineering activities, monitor project progress and work with contractors, technical teams and operational stakeholders to deliver work safely, efficiently and to the required standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide engineering support for underground development and infrastructure projects at Ahafo South.\n\nCoordinate assigned engineering work packages from planning through execution and completion.\n\nTranslate project requirements into clear engineering activities, deliverables and work plans.\n\nReview engineering designs, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.\n\nCoordinate with mining, civil, mechanical, electrical, geological and other technical teams to ensure effective project delivery.\n\nMonitor project activities against approved scope, schedule, cost, quality and performance requirements.\n\nIdentify project risks, constraints and potential delays and recommend practical solutions.\n\nConduct site inspections to verify that construction and engineering activities meet approved designs and specifications.\n\nProvide technical guidance to contractors, supervisors and project teams where required.\n\nReview contractor work plans, methodologies and technical submissions.\n\nMonitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.\n\nSupport project cost estimation, budgeting, scheduling and resource planning.\n\nTrack project milestones and prepare accurate progress updates and technical reports.\n\nCoordinate project meetings and follow up on agreed actions and deliverables.\n\nEnsure engineering activities comply with Newmont standards, applicable regulations and approved procedures.\n\nPromote strong safety practices throughout project planning and execution.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve project efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness.\n\nSupport commissioning, testing, handover and close-out activities for completed projects.\n\nMaintain accurate engineering records, drawings, reports and project documentation.\n\nWork closely with operational teams to ensure that completed infrastructure meets operational requirements.\n\nApply sound engineering judgement to resolve technical and site-based challenges.\n\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives across project engineering activities.\n\nQualifications and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.\n\nRelevant professional experience in project engineering, mining engineering, civil works or infrastructure development.\n\nExperience supporting engineering projects in a mining or heavy-industrial environment.\n\nExperience coordinating engineering work packages and multidisciplinary project activities.\n\nPractical understanding of underground mining development and infrastructure will be an advantage.\n\nStrong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.\n\nKnowledge of project planning, scheduling, cost control and contractor management.\n\nAbility to monitor project performance and identify risks, delays and technical issues.\n\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\n\nGood understanding of engineering quality, safety and environmental requirements.\n\nProficiency in relevant engineering and project-management software will be an advantage.\n\nStrong communication, coordination and stakeholder-management skills.\n\nAbility to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a site-based environment.\n\nStrong organisational skills and attention to detail.\n\nCommitment to safety, professional integrity and responsible mining practices.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\nWe welcome an organised, technically capable and results-oriented engineer who enjoys working on complex projects and solving practical engineering challenges.\nThe ideal candidate will combine sound engineering knowledge with strong coordination and communication skills.
