Working at Tanami means tackling unique challenges, developing valuable skills and being part of a team committed to responsible mining, continuous improvement and shaping the future of the operation.\n Who we’re looking for!\nAs a Fixed Plant Control Room Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant operation of fixed plant systems, such as Materials handling, winders, dewatering, ventilation. Working from the control room, you will monitor and coordinate asset performance in real time, supporting production continuity, asset integrity and statutory compliance. This is a role for someone who remains calm under pressure, communicates clearly across teams, and takes a proactive approach to identify and resolve issues before they impact operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonitoring real-time asset performance, responding to equipment issues, delays or deviations and escalating where required to minimise downtime and maintain production continuity.\nMaintaining accurate operational records, including shaft activities, delays and maintenance data, ensuring integrity for reporting and compliance purposes.\nActing as the central communication link between surface and underground teams, ensuring clear, timely and accurate information flow.\nSupporting emergency response coordination from the control room, following site protocols and maintaining effective communication with field teams.\nCollaborating with operations, maintenance and planning teams to support scheduling, shift handovers and daily execution aligned to production targets.\nCapabilities Required\nMechanical or Electrical trade qualification (preferred).\nDemonstrated experience in a mining control room environment, with exposure to material handling systems and shaft operations (ABB winders advantageous).\nStrong systems capability, including experience with SCADA (Citect), HMI, Minestar, PI Vision and CMMS systems such as SAP.\nDemonstrated underground mining experience, with an understanding of fixed plant and material handling infrastructure.\nStrong organisational, communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise, collaborate and perform under pressure.\n\nWe invite women and applicants with diverse backgrounds to apply, particularly First Nations persons of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island descent.
