The position scope will be across across Mine Operations, Process Operations, Asset Management, Technical Services and Sustaining Capital Projects.\nAs part of our team you will\nSupport engineering design and planning for sustaining capital projects, including resource allocation and timeline development\nMonitor project progress, documenting completion rates, and identifying areas for improvement\nPerform on-site inspections to ensure work aligns with engineering plans and regulatory standards\nAssist in the preparation of project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and compliance reports\nWork with procurement to manage materials and equipment for projects, ensuring timely availability\nPrepare weekly project status reports for the Supervisor, highlighting milestones, delays, and resource needs\nCollaborate with contractors on project specifications and timelines, ensuring adherence to standards\nContribute to risk assessments for project activities, identifying and mitigating potential issues\nRecord lessons learned from project execution, providing insights for future projects and improvements\nPerform quality assurance checks on project deliverables, verifying accuracy and compliance with engineering requirements.\nPrerequisites for your success in the role\nDegree qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline\nDemonstrated project engineering experience in sustaining capital project delivery in mine operations preferred\nUnderstanding of project lifecycle including design, studies and construction phases\nAbility to support planning, scheduling, budgeting and execution of engineering deliverables\nProficiency in project management tools for scheduling, cost control, forecasting and reporting\nKnowledge of engineering standards, risk management and resource coordination\nFamiliarity with KPIs, project tracking and performance reporting metrics\nStrong understanding of HSE requirements and mining industry best practice and standards\nExposure to project cost control and financial management principles\nStakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and resolve issues\nExperience managing projects and budgets in the AUD $1.5 million to $15 million range\nAbility to develop and manage project schedules and budget including completing monthly forecast updates for both areas respectively\nExperience in toll gating Capital Projects to a capital project framework, writing business case documents and pitching projects to senior site leadership and stakeholders preferred\nExperience raising project risks and initiating change management with appropriate change management tools\nExperience preparing Scope of Works documents and tendering projects to select a preferred vendor or contractor group\nFull and unrestricted work rights in Australia. \nYour work environment\nTanami is one of Australia’s most remote and significant underground gold mines, located deep in the Tanami Desert of the Northern Territory. As a fully fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) operation, Tanami flies around 1,800 employees and contractors to site via its own airstrip, with teams working on a rotational camp roster. The mine was originally an open-pit operation but has evolved into a world-class underground asset with extensive modern infrastructure. A major expansion (Tanami Expansion 2) is underway - including a 1.5-kilometre-deep hoisting shaft - to extend Tanami’s life beyond 2040 and increase production efficiency. The remote location fosters a close-knit team spirit, where safety and mutual respect are paramount.
