As a fly-in, fly-out operation, Red Chris is reached via charter flights from multiple locations in BC and Alberta, with teams working on a rotational schedule. Currently an active open-pit producer, Red Chris is poised for an exciting transformation - we are developing a high-value underground block cave that will extend the mine’s life for decades and unlock even more resources. Our team values strong partnerships with local First Nations and is committed to operating in a safe, inclusive and environmentally responsible way.\n Your Impact\nAs a Technician, Environment, you will play a key role in supporting environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance through environmental monitoring, field sampling, and data management activities. Your work will help protect the environment while supporting safe and sustainable mining operations.\nAs Part of the Team, You Will\nConduct environmental field sampling and monitoring programs, including surface water and groundwater monitoring.\nPrepare, maintain, and calibrate environmental sampling equipment.\nManage and validate environmental data, ensuring quality standards are met.\nUpload and maintain records in Monitor Pro and other environmental reporting systems.\nSupport environmental investigations, monitoring programs, reporting, and compliance initiatives.\nCoordinate with operations, contractors, consultants, and laboratories during field programs.\nContribute to environmental incident response, sampling, and remediation activities.\nChampion safe work practices and support a safety-first culture across site.\nPrerequisites for Your Success in This Role\nDiploma or degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, or a related field.\n2-4 years of environmental field experience, preferably within mining or industrial operations.\nExperience conducting groundwater and surface water sampling and monitoring.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and environmental data management systems.\nExperience with Monitor Pro or similar environmental databases is considered an asset.\nValid BC Class 5 driver's license or equivalent.\nStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.\nAbility to work outdoors in varying cold weather and site conditions.\nYour Work Environment\nFly-in/fly-out role based at Red Chris Mine near Dease Lake, British Columbia.\n15 days on / 13 days off rotation.\nCamp accommodations provided, including meals, Wi-Fi, fitness, and recreational facilities.\nField-based position with a combination of outdoor environmental monitoring and office-based data management responsibilities,\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive total compensation package.\n100% employer-paid benefits including medical, dental, paramedical services, Health Spending Account, and more.\nDefined Contribution Pension Plan with company contributions of up to 9%.\n$1,000 annual Learning and Physical Wellness benefit.\nTravel allowance (where applicable), not inclusive of company-paid commercial and charter flights and dependent on location of hire for site-based roles.\nOpportunities for career growth with a global mining leader committed to safety, sustainability, and inclusion.\nThe expected salary range for this role is CA$72,700 - $90,900. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia.
