The program provides rising seniors the opportunity for professional development by building relationships, gaining corporate experience, learning about our industry, and preparing students with the experience needed to have a rewarding career at our organization. The ideal candidate can see the big picture in any situation, has an entrepreneurial and process improvement mindset and can handle any situation with composure and empathy. We’re looking for assertive, well-spoken, and compassionate students who are dependable, service-minded, and results-oriented.\nThe Software Developer Track Star will fully immerse in the day-to-day activities of our developer teams who are responsible for the development and management of our proprietary applications. The incoming Intern can expect to use AI in their software development projects.\nEssential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities\nContribute as a developer in a scrum team.\n\nConvert written and visual requirements into software code.\n\nBuild software to design and architectural standards.\n\nTest code to ensure it meets the requirements.\n\nSupport code deployment and post-production maintenance.\n\nResearch and propose best practices, innovative approaches, notable programs of industry peers, etc.\n\nPerforms assigned duties, under direction of experienced personnel, to gain knowledge and experience.\n\nPerforms business analyses and provides recommendations to leadership for business and process changes.\n\nReceives training and performs duties in several functions in order to become familiar with line and staff functions, management viewpoints, company policies, and best practices.\n\nObserves experienced team members to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of departmental duties\n\nWill be required to attend company sponsored training classes, activities, and events.\n\nBuild relationships with employees and colleagues.\n\nAbility to effectively and accurately convey information to others.\n\nPerforms related duties as assigned by management.\n\nQualifications and Education Requirements\nCurrently pursuing a four-year college degree with a scheduled graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.\n\nDegree in related field is preferred.\n\nSkills, Abilities, and Knowledge\nSoftware code development basics.\n\nKnowledge of .net, c#, git and SQL\n\nHighly developed organizational and project/time-management skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities and meet multiple deadlines.\n\nExcel in a team-oriented, collaborative environment while contributing to the creation, design, and implementation of value-add business strategies that affect current operating practices and company policy.\n\nBe able to clearly articulate and present ideas and findings to a varied audience, including the operations staff and senior leadership.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nProficiency in quantitative analysis.\n\nAbility to adapt.\n\nWillingness to learn.\n\nAn entrepreneurial business mindset.\n\nStrong business communication skills with an ability to work well in a collaborative environment.\n\nStrong attention to detail and an ability to multi-task and work well individually.\n\nStrong skills in Excel and/or Tableau (charts, graphs, pivot tables, formulas, macros etc.).\n\nExperience with PowerPoint is a plus.\n\nWork Environment and Physical Requirements\nWorking on-site at assigned office location.\n\nRegular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership.\n\nFlexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand.\n\nWorking in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations.\n\nSedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time.\n\nConstant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls.\n\nConstantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures.\n\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
