We do this by empowering our employees, encouraging innovative solutions and recognizing great performance.\nPrimary Function\nSupervises a team of Loss Mitigation Specialists to minimize losses on delinquent mortgages by working according to investor guidelines.\nPrincipal Duties\nProvide guidance and leadership for management and staff. Lead and mentor staff to develop and reinforce skills, improve processes and procedures, and increase overall effectiveness.\nSupervises the analysis of financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, valuation reports, and title reports to approve the appropriate resolution for the customer.\nTracks, monitors, and measures employee performance according to department standards. Provides feedback monthly.\nOversees and facilitates the training of new employees.\nMaintains training and support materials for the Loss Mitigation Specialist job.\nMaintain process and procedure documentation for the Loss Mitigation team, create process and procedure documentation where it does not currently exist.\nEnsure that the appropriate entity (yourself, a client, or mortgage insurance company) has reviewed and approval a Loss Mitigation Workout.\nOversees the day-to-day tasks and performance of the Loss Mitigation Specialists.\nAssists in the control of company expenses through intelligent use of funds to resolve accounts and managing staffing and miscellaneous costs.\nArranges for contractual services relating to property inspections, appraisers, real estate agents, etc., who may be involved in the inspection or evaluation of the collateral.\nSchedules and monitors of all employee time records.\nEnsures compliance with company policies and procedures.\nUndertakes special projects related to departmental activities.\nPerforms related duties as assigned by management.\nEducation and Experience Requirements\nHigh school diploma or equivalent, required.\nBachelor’s degree, preferred.\n6+ years’ Loss Mitigation experience.\n2-4 years supervisory experience.\nKnowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements\nProficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.\nExcellence in consulting and advising customers via telephone and written communication.\nA basic understanding of Collections. Foreclosure, Bankruptcy and REO is required.\nExperience analyzing financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, home appraisals, title searches and other documents to evaluate pre-foreclosure remedies.\nDemonstrated strong skill set for organization and attention to detail.\nStrong negotiating and follow-up skills, as well as the ability to meet strict deadlines.\nSelf-Motivated. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\nStrong analytical, problem solving and mathematical skills to be used to improve team performance.\nAbility to work overtime as needed.\nUnderstanding of mortgage lending and servicing.\nAdditional Information:\nWhile this description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the position’s requirements, it in no way implies/states that these are the only job responsibilities.
