This position partners closely with Admissions, Financial Aid, Finance, and Academic Leadership to develop predictive models, revenue projections, and enrollment forecasts that guide recruitment strategy, scholarship optimization, and long-term financial planning.The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with an understanding of higher education enrollment dynamics and communicates complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nPredictive Modeling & Forecasting\nBuild predictive models to support:Application and enrollment yield\nFinancial aid impact on student decision-making\nRevenue optimization and discount rate management\n\nCreate short- and long-term enrollment forecasts by program, modality, and student segment.\nDevelop revenue projections incorporating tuition, scholarships, institutional aid, and enrollment scenarios.\nPerform scenario modeling (best case / expected / worst case) to support leadership planning and budget development.\nData Analysis & Reporting\nAnalyze admissions funnel data (inquiry through enrollment) to identify trends, conversion drivers, and opportunities for growth.\nDevelop dashboards and recurring reports on application volume, yield, financial aid utilization, net tuition revenue, and cohort performance.\nMonitor KPIs related to enrollment, discount rate, melt, retention, and revenue.\nEnsure data accuracy and integrity across CRM, SIS, financial aid, and finance systems.\nFinancial Aid & Revenue Strategy\nAnalyze scholarship effectiveness and ROI.\nSupport aid packaging strategy through modeling of award elasticity and enrollment outcomes.\nPartner with Finance to align enrollment forecasts with institutional budget planning.\nEvaluate pricing strategies and program-level profitability.\nStrategic Partnership & Decision Support\nTranslate analytical findings into clear recommendations for Admissions, Financial Aid, and senior leadership.\nSupport recruitment strategy by identifying high-value student segments and markets.\nPresent insights to cross-functional stakeholders using clear visualizations and narratives.\nProvide ad hoc analysis to support leadership initiatives and special projects\nOther duties as assigned.\nMINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE\nBachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience required \n2 years of experience in higher education, enrollment management, or finance preferred.\nOr equivalent combination of education and experience\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nAbility to translate complex data into actionable insights required \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner required \nStrong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset required \nExperience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar required \nStrong understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling required\nStrong experience with SQL and Excel preferred\nExperience building predictive models and forecasts using tools such as R, Python, or advanced Excel preferred.\nDemonstrated ability to analyze large datasets and communicate insights clearly preferred.\nKnowledge of admissions funnels, financial aid processes, and tuition revenue concepts preferred.\nThe University of Rochester is committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving an inclusive and welcoming culture to advance the University’s Mission to Learn, Discover, Heal, Create - and Make the World Ever Better.
