Recruitment is led by journalism roles such as political, health, banking and regional reporters, editors and audience and social media producers, alongside account managers, fundraising staff and warehouse operators.

What's the role?

You’re an ambitious and capable Payroll professional with experience within a large organisation. Here you'll be responsible for the end to end payroll processing on a monthly and weekly basis, including the interpretation of EBA's and awards, new starters and terminations, payroll tax and everything in between.

  • Review and submission of weekly and monthly pay run

  • Maintain, update, and verify payroll records, including new hires, terminations, rate changes, and deductions.

  • Investigate and resolve incoming customer queries

  • SOX compliance process to ad hoc improvement projects

Who are you?

  • Previous payroll experience ideally in a large corporate environment in Australia

  • Proven Excel ability and technologically savvy

  • Experience using Dayforce and Workday is highly desirable

  • Detail-oriented, proactive and enthusiastic

  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to explain complex payroll matters to employees with patience and clarity.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and contribute to company accounting initiatives

  • Experienced in running diverse and complicated pay runs that have to adhere to modern awards and EBA’s
