You will collaborate with other department heads to maximize output and gather insights.\nYou will identify and break national stories involving major retailers, legislation, policy, and every day issues affecting Americans. You will assign, edit, and publish stories covering a variety of topics including trending news, heath, lifestyle, motors, tech, and travel. You will develop SEO and search-driven content strategies to increase readership and search visibility, create trend-focused coverage and optimized headlines. You will monitor analytics, Google Trends, Parsley, and audience performance to guide editorial decisions while ensuring accuracy, speed and editorial standards in a high-volume breaking news environment.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nPulse of trending news: The Trends Editor is “in-the-know” on the latest events and is able to turn that into high-quality stories quickly and accurately across various verticals such as lifestyle, motors, tech, and general news of the day.\nStory Development: You are skilled at identifying topics which people want to click on, read, and talk about, and have a knack for crafting a punchy headline. You are experienced at conducting on-camera interviews when needed.\nEditorial Quality: You will oversee coverage that will help readers understand the trending stories of the day.
