HGV 2 Flatbed Driver CSCS

Newstaff Employment Services are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Hounslow/ Heathrow for an experienced HGV 2 Flatbed Driver with CSCS Certification to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials using flatbed vehicles, within the construction sector moving heavy goods. The Role is working on a 4 on 4 off rolling basis, you must have an HGV 2 license, a CSCS card, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. You will be tasked with securing loads properly, transporting them to various sites, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV 2 flatbed vehicles to transport materials safely to construction and other job sites.
• Secure loads effectively using appropriate methods and equipment to prevent movement during transit.
• Undertake pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle condition.
• Coordinate with site managers and other team members to ensure timely deliveries.
• Follow all relevant health, safety, and transport regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Valid HGV 2 (Class 2) driving license.
• Current CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
• Proven experience operating flatbed trucks, preferably in construction or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of load securing techniques and health and safety standards.
• Excellent driving skills with a strong safety record.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage routes and schedules.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
