The ideal candidate will be Python-first, with experience building modern backend solutions in Python and the ability to maintain and contribute to existing Java-based services in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. Experience with AI/LLM integrations is highly valued.\nRequirements:\n5-8+ years of professional backend engineering experience with strong Python development skills.\nStrong hands-on experience building scalable backend services, REST APIs, and data pipelines using Python.\nProfessional experience with Java, with the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and contribute to existing Java services.\nExperience with Python backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.\nExperience with testing frameworks such as pytest and building reliable, maintainable backend applications.\nDeep expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native architectures.\nExperience designing and maintaining microservices and distributed systems.\nFamiliarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI/ML backend integration patterns.\nExperience utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency and code quality.\nStrong Application Security (AppSec) mindset, with experience identifying and remediating codebase and dependency vulnerabilities.\nExcellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across cross-functional product, data, and infrastructure teams.\nStrong written and verbal English proficiency.\nJob Duties:\nDesign, build, and deploy scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines primarily using Python on Google Cloud Platform.\nDevelop new backend capabilities using Python, while maintaining and enhancing existing Java services as needed.\nWork with Python frameworks, testing tools, APIs, and cloud services to deliver reliable and scalable backend solutions.\nIntegrate AI/LLM capabilities into backend applications and support modern AI-driven workflows.\nModernize and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.\nLeverage GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality.\nProactively identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities to ensure application safety and data protection.\nConduct code reviews, promote best engineering practices, maintain high test coverage, and produce clear technical documentation.\nCollaborate closely with product, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality backend solutions.\nWhat you can expect from us\nHere at Nexaminds, we're not your typical workplace.
