You will contribute to infrastructure automation, production reliability, observability, and incident response, with a strong emphasis on usingAI agents and automated workflows to improve operational efficiency.\nYou will work closely with distributed engineering teams to maintain reliable services, automate infrastructure maintenance, and evolve cloud operations toward more proactive, AI-augmented approaches.\nLocation: Mexico\nThis position is open exclusively to candidates who are currently residing in Mexico. Candidates who are not currently based in Mexico will not be contacted for this opportunity.\nRequirements:\n5+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure, operating customer-facing production systems at scale.\n\nStrong experience with AWS cloud services and cloud infrastructure operations.\n\nHands-on experience building or operating AI-driven automation in an engineering environment, such as AI agents, automated patching, dependency updates, or operational workflows.\n\nProfessional experience with most of the following technologies: Linux, Bash, Terraform, Python, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Nginx\n\nExperience with AWS services such as EC2, Auto Scaling, Application Load Balancer (ALB), EKS, ECS, Spot Fleet, CloudWatch, CloudFront, RDS, and ElastiCache Redis/Valkey.\n\nExperience with observability platforms such as Datadog, New Relic, or Sumo Logic.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting full-stack web services and production infrastructure.\n\nExperience monitoring service availability, latency, logs, and container health signals.\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, including technical documentation, code reviews, and change management.\n\nAbility to work collaboratively with distributed teams and communicate effectively in English.\n\nWillingness to participate in an on-call rotation covering workdays and occasional weekends.\n\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, build, and maintain automated patching and update workflows for operating systems, container images, Kubernetes, and software dependencies.\n\nDevelop and operate AI agents and automated workflows that support infrastructure operations, including incident detection, triage, and response.\n\nIdentify opportunities to reduce manual on-call workload and improve mean time to recovery (MTTR) through automation.\n\nSupport web services, including Ruby on Rails and Golang applications, through production readiness reviews and operational preparation.\n\nMonitor production service health, availability, latency, logs, and container-level health signals.\n\nTroubleshoot infrastructure and production incidents, implementing recovery actions across cloud services, databases, regions, and Kubernetes environments.\n\nParticipate in blameless postmortems and turn recurring incidents into automated workflows and AI-driven solutions.\n\nContribute code changes to infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling.\n\nCollaborate with distributed engineering teams to improve service reliability, observability, and availability against SLAs.\n\nParticipate in agile planning, story definition, work estimation, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nWhat you can expect from us\nHere at Nexaminds, we're not your typical workplace.
