The ideal candidate combines software engineering and systems engineering principles to improve system reliability, automate operational processes, and optimize performance across cloud-native environments.\nIn this role, you will collaborate with software engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to enhance system observability, strengthen incident response capabilities, and ensure the reliability and scalability of production systems.\nLocation: Mexico (Remote)\nThis position is open exclusively to candidates who are currently residing in Mexico. Candidates who are not currently based in Mexico will not be contacted for this opportunity.\nRequirements:\n5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or a related engineering role.\nStrong hands-on experience with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, RDS, and load balancing services.\nExperience designing and managing scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure.\nProficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar technologies.\nStrong scripting or programming skills using Python, Bash, Go, or a similar language.\nExperience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or the AWS observability ecosystem.\nSolid understanding of Linux systems administration, networking, DNS, TCP/IP, and troubleshooting distributed systems.\nExperience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.\nKnowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.\nExperience managing production incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and highly available infrastructure on AWS.\nDevelop and improve automation tools, scripts, and infrastructure provisioning workflows.\nManage and optimize cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.\nImplement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to identify and resolve system issues proactively.\nDefine, monitor, and improve Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).\nLead incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.\nIdentify and eliminate repetitive operational tasks through automation and engineering best practices.\nOptimize system performance, availability, scalability, and cloud infrastructure costs.\nSupport CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies to enable safe, reliable, and frequent software releases.\nImplement security best practices, access controls, and infrastructure compliance standards.\nCollaborate with development teams to improve application reliability, resilience, and operational readiness.\nParticipate in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.\nWhat you can expect from us\nHere at Nexaminds, we're not your typical workplace.
