Therefore we are committed to ensuring an inclusive workplace that embraces and promotes diversity.\nJob Duties:\nPrepare samples and carry out tests on cable materials at various stages of production including:Raw material control tests\nProcess control tests\nRoutine tests\nInvestigations\n\nOperation of test equipment\nPerform 5S tasks\nPrepare samples for tests\nDefect analysis and root cause investigations\nResult documentation\nUtilize good principles of measurement, precision, and uncertainty\nUse process documentation to perform tests\nAssist in procedure development and composition\nReporting and feedback of test results and deviations to Test Engineer, Test Laboratory Manager, and Process Engineers\nCommunication of results using rigorous scientific methodology\nAres of Responsibilty:\nConduct tests on raw materials and cable samples\nConduct investigative analysis on cable samples\nPreparation of equipment before and after testing\nFollow company and department's governing documents\nKeep work area tidy and safe\nRepresent Nexans towards client representatives during witnessed tests\nRequested Qualifications:\nFluent in English\nHigh School Diploma, technical secondary education preferred\nExperience working in a laboratory strongly preferred\nQuality control testing experience within a manufacturing environment highly desired\nProficient in usage of hand tools\nProficient in usage of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometer, etc.)\nProficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
