You will be part of the Cable Laying department, which enables the company in its ability to plan and execute marine installation activities worldwide. By joining our team, you will get to work alongside great colleagues that thrive in a collaborative and social environment.\nHOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT\nYou will work in the Cable Laying department within the Marine Installation Engineering group as a Senior or Specialist Engineer, with the level of the position tailored to your experience and expertise. You will be responsible for deliverables such as:\nLeading multidiscipline projects: stepping into roles like Project Engineer or Marine Engineering Lead.\nDirect core operations: Focus heavily on marine and nearshore installation activities, together with a specialized team of cable installation, survey, and protection engineers.\nDeliver technical excellence: Deliver critical project documentation, including advanced procedures, operational analyses, and technical specifications for equipment and services.\nManage operational flow: Plan and schedule marine and nearshore operations while effectively managing internal and external execution packages.\nInterface with Clients: If applicable, act as the primary technical point of contact, managing regular client communications and aligning on engineering requirements.\nDrive technical innovation: Actively participate in developing, refining, and taking ownership of specialized technical solutions across the department.\nFollow projects end-to-end: Bridge the gap between engineering and execution by taking projects from initial office design straight through to site follow-up, both offshore and nearshore.\nChampion safety and quality: Make a lasting impact by actively championing internal Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives.\nYOUR STARTING POINT\nWe know that the best candidates don’t always match every requirement listed, but here are some examples of the background and experience that can help you thrive in the role:\nHigher technical education from college or university (bachelor / master's degree) and / or other relevant work experience\nMinimum 5 years relevant experience from project driven business, experience from offshore installation or subsea operations is a plus\nExperience from nearshore/shallow water installation\nExperience with barge operations, jack-up barges and other nearshore vessel/tools\nEnjoy to lead and work in project teams but also independently\nStructured and accurate mindset\nCreative and has an analytical and solution-oriented approach to challenges\nLike to seek more knowledge within your own discipline area and other interface areas\nExperience with Installation analyses is a plus\nFluent in German and English, - oral and written\nYour personal values are aligned to those of Nexans: Pioneer, Dedicated, United\nOUR GROWTH CULTURE\nAmong our employees we share the same values- we are pioneers of the energy transition, dedicated to deliver to the highest standards of performance united to achieve our ambitious goal.\nAt the individual level our growth culture is built on trust and collaboration.
