This role supports the safe and reliable operation of facility infrastructure by responding to maintenance requests, assisting with repairs, and performing routine maintenance activities under established procedures.\nThe Facilities Operations Technician I works under the direction of senior technicians and facility leadership while developing technical skills in facility operations, building systems, equipment maintenance, and safety practices. This position requires travel between facilities and participation in emergency response activities as needed.\nCompensation for this role is between $20-$23/hr depending on experience\nResponsibilities\nFacility Operations & Maintenance\nPerform preventative maintenance activities on facility equipment and systems.\nAssist with troubleshooting and repairing facility-related equipment and infrastructure.\nRespond to maintenance requests and support timely issue resolution.\nBuild, install, repair, and maintain facility equipment and infrastructure.\nPerform facility inspections and report maintenance concerns.\nAssist with construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects.\nOperate power tools, hand tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.\nSupport exterior facility maintenance activities including snow removal and grounds maintenance.\nAssist with custodial duties as required to support facility operations.\nOperational Support\nMaintain accurate maintenance records, work logs, and documentation.\nAssist with inventory management and organization of maintenance supplies and equipment.\nTravel between company facilities as required.\nParticipate in facility emergency response activities and on-call rotations as assigned.\nParticipate in the incident management process as required.\nSupport operational projects and assigned facility initiatives.\nSafety & Compliance\nFollow company safety policies, procedures, and operating standards.\nMaintain clean, organized, and safe work environments.\nIdentify and report safety hazards and maintenance concerns.\nEnsure proper handling, storage, and use of chemicals, tools, and equipment.\nUtilize required personal protective equipment and safe work practices.\nQualifications\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n1+ years of maintenance, facilities, construction, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or related experience.\nValid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.\nAbility to travel between company facilities.\nAbility to participate in an on-call rotation as assigned.\nBasic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to safely operate hand tools and power tools.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nBasic computer skills and ability to navigate company systems.\nAbility to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.\nPreferred\nExperience operating forklifts, aerial lifts, or similar equipment.\nExperience terminating and installing cabling.\nExperience supporting data centers, commercial facilities, manufacturing environments, or critical infrastructure.\nAdditional technical training, certifications, or trade coursework.\nExperience operating snow removal equipment or plow trucks.\nAdditional Expectations\nDemonstrates and promotes the company's Impact Behaviors in all interactions and decision-making.\nDesign\nOwnership\nFirst Team\nPerformance\n\nMaintains a professional, collaborative, and client-focused approach while supporting team and organizational objectives.\nPerforms other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned to meet business needs.\nKey Performance Indicators\nComplete assigned preventative maintenance activities within established schedules.\nComplete maintenance work orders within established service levels.\nMaintain accurate and timely maintenance documentation.\nAdhere to all safety procedures and requirements.\nDemonstrate reliability, attendance, and responsiveness during assigned shifts and on-call responsibilities.\nMaintain facility cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness.\nSuccessfully complete required training and certification objectives.\nContribute to team productivity and operational effectiveness.\nWork Environment\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.
