We serve businesses worldwide, from agencies scaling client sites to enterprises running mission-critical operations. We've built our reputation on deep technical expertise and genuine partnership with every client we work with. Behind every environment we manage is a team of people who take the craft seriously and keep showing up when it matters.\nThe Network Solutions team engineers and maintains the networking products - load balancing, switching, firewalls, VPN, VPC, and GPF - that connect and protect our customers’ infrastructure.\nYou will own platform changes end to end: the specification, the automation and configuration, the validation, and how they behave in production. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, and you are the engineer who answers for whether what you shipped actually works.\nThe pull request is the visible part. The job is the machine behind it: turning a loosely worded need into something precise enough to build against, naming what can break before it does, proving the change is correct rather than asserting it, and staying with it once it is live.\nHow we work\nBusiness alignment and focus come first. Engineering here exists to move the business, not to be busy. You will know which few things matter most this month and why, say so when the work in front of you is not one of them, and land what you committed to on dates the business can plan around, at a quality that does not come back as an incident or a customer escalation. \nPredictable, reliable delivery of quality software is the output of this job, and everything below is in service of it.\nThis job gets more hands-on every quarter, not less. The volume of code goes up while the time you spend typing it goes down, so the value moves to the two ends of it: what you specify, and what you verify. You will stay close to production, run the AI harness daily, read code you did not write, and keep your technical judgment current rather than remembered.\nWhoever ships it owns it, regardless of what wrote it. Most code is AI-generated now, so the judgment moved to either side of it: specifying exactly what to build, and verifying that what came back is correct, secure and operable. An agent wrote it is not a defense. Your name is on the merge.\nYou do not need to own the roadmap to know why the work matters. You will not be the Product counterpart at this level and you are not expected to be. You are expected to understand what the customer gets and what the business gains from the thing you are building, and to ask before you build the wrong thing correctly. The engineers who move fastest here are the ones who ask that question early rather than at the review.\nYou go on call for what you build, and you take your turn on the rotation. Engineering declares risk and timelines in writing for the business to accept, and that includes yours: when a date is at risk you say so early, with evidence, rather than quietly.\nResponsibilities\nOwn frontend features end to end within the Network Solutions domain. Take work from specification through implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing production support for interfaces used to manage networking products and services.\nBuild and maintain modern web interfaces. Develop reliable, maintainable, and performant frontend applications using React or Vue.\nTranslate product and technical requirements into clear frontend solutions. Clarify expected behavior, edge cases, dependencies, and user flows before implementation begins.\nCreate intuitive interfaces for complex networking functionality. Make technical products such as load balancing, firewalls, VPN, VPC, and related services understandable and manageable through clear user experiences.\nWork closely with backend and platform engineers. Integrate frontend applications with APIs and underlying services, identify dependencies early, and resolve interface or data issues before they become blockers.\nUse AI-assisted engineering tools as part of your daily workflow. Apply agentic tooling to implementation and review while critically validating generated code and remaining accountable for the final result.\nVerify changes with evidence. Write automated tests, validate user flows and failure scenarios, and ensure changes are production-ready before deployment.\nReview frontend code and technical changes from other engineers. Identify design, maintainability, performance, accessibility, and reliability risks early and provide clear, actionable feedback.\nWork safely in existing and unfamiliar codebases. Understand legacy or complex frontend applications, make incremental improvements without unnecessary rewrites, and leave code better tested and documented than you found it.\nOwn what you run. Participate in production support, investigate frontend-related incidents, and ensure issues lead to meaningful improvements.\nMentor other engineers. Share frontend engineering practices, explain design decisions, and support less experienced engineers through implementation and review.\nCoordinate dependencies across teams. Work directly with relevant engineers and stakeholders to ensure frontend changes align with backend, infrastructure, and product requirements.\nRequirements\n5+ years of experience in frontend software engineering and production applications.\n5+ years of experience with React or Vue.\nStrong experience building and maintaining complex web applications.\nStrong understanding of modern JavaScript or TypeScript, component-based architecture, state management, and frontend application design.\nExperience integrating frontend applications with APIs and backend services.\nExperience writing automated frontend tests and validating production changes before deployment.\nStrong understanding of performance, usability, accessibility, and maintainability in web applications.\nAbility to work effectively in existing or unfamiliar codebases and troubleshoot issues across frontend and backend boundaries.\nHands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools as part of day-to-day development work.\nClear written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team across multiple time zones.\nPreferred\nExperience with core networking administration or networking concepts.\nExperience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MariaDB.\nExperience building interfaces for infrastructure, cloud, hosting, or other technical products.\nExperience with managed hosting, cloud platforms, or another high-availability service environment.\nExperience mentoring engineers and reviewing frontend architecture and code.\nWe offer\nVisa support and relocation assistance.\nDaily lunches in the office.\nWork in a team of professionals at an international level.\nComfortable working conditions.\nOpportunity to practice and improve your English.\nCompetitive salary and all necessary equipment.\nMedical insurance.","description_format":"text","description_chars":7037,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Health insurance","Relocation assistance"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":true,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-06T15:56:18Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":5,"expected_fill_days":28,"reasons":["conf:2","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-12T06:55:09Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/nexcess-frontend-engineer-network-solutions","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/nexcess-frontend-engineer-network-solutions.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-12T11:02:12Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":17046,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-13T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":2155317},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=2155317"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fnexcess-frontend-engineer-network-solutions"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fnexcess-frontend-engineer-network-solutions"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fnexcess-frontend-engineer-network-solutions"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/nexcess-frontend-engineer-network-solutions\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fnexcess-frontend-engineer-network-solutions"}]}
