Synchronizer provides native, real-time, bidirectional synchronization between numerous EHR systems of record and NexHealth’s harmonized central database. This foundation enables healthcare innovators to focus on improving patient experiences and outcomes-while we handle the underlying infrastructure.\nThis work represents step two in our three-step master plan. You’ll play a critical role in increasing engineering quality and execution velocity across the organization, making it easier and faster to build and extend Synchronizers. You’ll partner with multiple engineering teams and product managers to define the next-generation Synchronizer API offering.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys solving novel systems challenges. No prior healthcare experience required.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild and develop a high-performing team: Hire exceptional engineers and support their long-term growth through mentorship, coaching, and leadership development.\nRaise the bar on engineering excellence: Uphold strong technical standards through processes like architecture reviews, testing, and code quality practices.\nDrive platform strategy: Partner with engineering and product leadership to shape and execute long-term platform roadmaps, including the next-generation Synchronizer API.\nLead cross-team execution: Coordinate closely across multiple engineering groups to deliver complex, cross-cutting, high-impact initiatives.\nFoster a strong engineering culture: Promote ownership, innovation, reliability, and continuous improvement as core expectations for the team\nWhat You’ll Bring\n5+ years of experience leading engineering teams, including managing managers\nA proven track record of coaching, developing, and supporting both engineers and managers\nDeep experience delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems\nStrong judgment in balancing engineering velocity with long-term technical quality\nExcellent collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and cross-functional stakeholders\nDemonstrated ability to define and drive technical and organizational roadmaps with measurable impact\nA builder mindset with a history of scaling teams and systems in fast-paced, high-growth environments\nStrong ownership and initiative, especially in ambiguous and evolving contextsThe ability to act as a change agent, helping guide our transformation into an API-first organization\n\nA bias for action and data-driven decision making\nFirst-principles thinking applied to both technical and organizational challenges\nDeep care for people development, team health, and long-term success\nAlignment with NexHealth’s mission and core values\nBS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience\nCompensation\nActual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just the base salary component of NexHealth’s total compensation package for employees.
