Chief Product Owner - Reverse Engineering & Cybersecurity

Our client is one of the world’s leading interactive disassembler and debugger used by security researchers, malware analysts, vulnerability researchers, reverse engineers, intelligence agencies, and advanced cybersecurity teams worldwide.

For more than 30 years, our client has been setting the global standard in binary analysis and reverse engineering tooling. Their software is used across critical industries including cybersecurity, defense, telecom, automotive, industrial systems, and advanced software research.

Today, the company is entering a new phase of growth and transformation. Backed by strong market leadership and a rapidly expanding organization, we are investing heavily in the future of reverse engineering, including next-generation workflows powered by artificial intelligence.

To support this evolution, we are looking for a Chief Product Owner capable of driving product strategy, helping product organization maturity, and helping shape the future of one of the most respected platforms in cybersecurity.

The Role:

This is a highly strategic and high-impact leadership role at the intersection of product management, cybersecurity, and deep technical innovation.

As chief Product Owner, you will participate and drive the long-term product vision for the company and the product. You will work closely with executive leadership, engineering teams, researchers, Product Owners, and key customers to define the next generation of reverse engineering tooling.

This role requires someone who combines:

  • strong product leadership,
  • credibility within highly technical cybersecurity environments,
  • exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills,
  • and the ability to operate effectively within a culture of deeply specialized engineers and researchers.

You will play a key role in modernizing and scaling the product organization while ensuring the company remains the global reference in reverse engineering.

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and own the long-term product strategy and roadmap for the product
  • Drive product evolution around emerging industry needs, including AI-assisted reverse engineering and advanced binary analysis workflows.
  • Balance innovation, customer expectations, technical feasibility, and business priorities.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, ecosystem expansion, and product differentiation.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership on strategic product decisions and future market positioning.

Product Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the Product organization, including Product Owners and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Establish scalable product management processes, prioritization frameworks, and execution discipline.
  • Build alignment between Product, Research, Engineering, QA, and commercial stakeholders.
  • Create clarity and structure in a highly technical and intellectually demanding environment.
  • Foster a product culture focused on impact, user value, and technical excellence.

Customer & Community Engagement

  • Engage directly with security researchers, malware analysts, reverse engineers, and enterprise customers.
  • Gather feedback through interviews, conferences, direct exchanges, and community interactions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of user workflows, frustrations, and emerging technical challenges.
  • Represent the company within the global reverse engineering and cybersecurity ecosystem.

Technical Collaboration

  • Work closely with world-class reverse engineering experts and researchers.
  • Translate highly technical discussions into actionable product decisions and priorities.
  • Contribute to strategic discussions around architecture, integrations, tooling, and ecosystem development.
  • Maintain credibility with deeply technical internal and external stakeholders.

The Profile:

Experience

  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Leadership, or equivalent strategic product roles.
  • Significant experience in cybersecurity environments is mandatory.
  • Strong exposure to reverse engineering, malware analysis, forensic analysis, binary analysis, or adjacent security domains.
  • Experience working with highly technical developer or research-oriented products.
  • Previous experience in offensive or defensive cybersecurity environments (“Red” or “Blue” teams) is highly valued.

Technical Understanding

  • Strong understanding of reverse engineering concepts and binary analysis workflows.
  • Ability to engage credibly with expert engineers and researchers.
  • Familiarity with the tools, methodologies, and mindset of advanced security practitioners.
  • Interest in AI applications for cybersecurity and reverse engineering workflows.

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to navigate complex human dynamics.
  • Ability to lead highly specialized and sometimes unconventional technical teams.
  • Combination of assertiveness, humility, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Excellent prioritization and decision-making capabilities under uncertainty.
  • Comfortable operating in lean, high-expertise environments with high autonomy.

The Offer:

  • A small, expert team where your voice truly matters and your decisions have real impact.
  • Remote work (European time zone) with genuine flexibility, we care about output, not clock-watching.
  • Flexible working hours to suit your rhythm and work style.
  • Occasional travel to top industry conferences and internal team events.
