You will translate device capabilities into practical, production-ready hardware solutions.\nThis role requires strong technical depth in power conversion and system-level integration and is central to enabling customer adoption and accelerating time-to-market through high-quality design collateral, hands-on validation, and technical support.\nWhat you will do\nDesign, develop, optimize, and validate reference designs and application boards using Nexperia’s discrete, analog, and power IC solutions.\nCreate schematics, perform component selection, and collaborate on PCB layout to optimize performance, efficiency, cost, thermal behavior, and reliability.\nPerform comprehensive electrical, thermal, and system-level validation, including: Efficiency analysis Switching characterization Transient response testing Thermal profiling EMI/EMC pre-compliance evaluation and troubleshooting\nProvide application-focused technical support to customers and sales teams by troubleshooting designs, supporting design-in activities, and participating in customer engagements.\nRepresent Nexperia at workshops, conferences, and exhibitions.\nCreate and maintain high-quality technical collateral, including application notes, design guides, simulation models, user manuals, and web-based application content.\nBuild deep application expertise and translate customer insights into future product opportunities.\nCollaborate with Marketing, R&D, and System Architects to define requirements, identify use cases, and contribute to product roadmap development.\nWhat you will need\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (BSEE); Master’s degree (MSEE) preferred.\n5-8 years of experience in application engineering, hardware design, and power electronics.\nProven experience developing reference designs or evaluation boards.\nHands-on experience in data center power supply designs.\nStrong understanding of power conversion topologies, including: LLC DAB CLLC Multilevel converters Paralleling systems\nKnowledge of HV power distribution.\nFamiliarity with AI server, GPU, telecom, or data center power architectures.\nStrong understanding of switching behavior, losses, and efficiency optimization.\nTechnical experience in PCB design and layout, including Altium and KiCad.\nFamiliarity with simulation and engineering tools, including MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice, SIMPLIS, PLECS, thermal analysis, and EMC compatibility.\nExperience using power analyzers, high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, thermal imaging cameras, power supplies, and ancillary equipment.\nStrong analytical and system-level thinking.\nHands-on, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.\nAbility to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams.\nCustomer-focused approach with strong ownership.\nExcellent presentation and technical writing skills.\nBusiness-fluent written and spoken English.\nTalent acquisition based on Nexperia vacancies is not appreciated.
