This role ensures that factory capacity aligns with customer demand, business forecasts, and operational constraints while maximizing asset utilization, minimizing bottlenecks, and supporting on-time delivery performance.\nWhat you will do\nCapacity Planning & Strategy\nDevelop and maintain short-, mid-, and long-term capacity plans across assembly and test processes.\nTranslate demand forecasts into actionable capacity requirements (equipment, tooling, labor, and floor space).\nLead scenario planning (upside/downside demand, new product ramps, engineering changes).\nAlign capacity strategies with business objectives, including cost, delivery, and flexibility targets.\nFactory Load Balancing & Optimization\nMonitor and manage factory loading to ensure optimal utilization across all work centers.\nIdentify and mitigate bottlenecks in die attach, wire bond, molding, trim & form, and test operations.\nDrive cycle time reduction and throughput improvements through data-driven analysis.\nCollaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve constraints.\nCapital Planning & Investment\nDefine equipment capacity gaps and justify capital expenditures (CapEx).\nPartner with finance and engineering on ROI analysis, equipment selection, and deployment timing.\nOversee capacity readiness for new equipment installation and qualification.\nDemand & Supply Alignment\nWork closely with planning, sales, and customer operations teams to align factory output with customer demand.\nSupport S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) processes with accurate capacity inputs.\nProvide risk assessments and mitigation plans for demand fluctuations or supply disruptions.\nNew Product Introduction (NPI) Support\nEnsure capacity readiness for new product ramps, including tooling, process capability, and test capacity.\nCollaborate with engineering on process flow, cycle time assumptions, and ramp plans.\nPerformance Monitoring & Reporting\nEstablish and track key KPIs such as utilization, OEE, throughput, cycle time, and on-time delivery.\nDevelop dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility into capacity status and risks.\nPresent regular updates to senior leadership on capacity outlook and constraints.\nContinuous Improvement\nLead initiatives to improve capacity modeling accuracy and planning processes.\nDrive digitalization and automation in capacity planning tools and data analytics.\nImplement best practices in lean manufacturing and constraint management.\nTeam Leadership\nLead and develop a team of capacity planners and analysts.\nFoster cross-functional collaboration across production, engineering, maintenance, and supply chain.\nMentor team members and build succession planning within the function.\nWhat you will need\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field.\n10+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, preferably in assembly and test operations.\nMinimum 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong understanding of semiconductor assembly processes (die attach, wire bond, molding, singulation, test).\nExpertise in capacity modeling, line balancing, and bottleneck analysis.\nFamiliarity with MES, ERP, and advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis).\nProficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar).\nLeadership & Soft Skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to operate in a fast-paced, high-mix, high-volume manufacturing environment.\nStrategic mindset with strong execution focus.\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\n Factory utilization and OEE\n On-time delivery (OTD)\n Cycle time and throughput\n Capacity forecast accuracy\n Bottleneck resolution cycle time\nCapEx efficiency (ROI, payback period)\nWhy Join Us\nOpportunity to lead capacity strategy in a high-growth semiconductor environment.\nExposure to advanced manufacturing technologies and global customers.\nCollaborative leadership role with strong business impact.\nTalent acquisition based on Nexperia vacancies is not appreciated.
