You will work closely with Device Engineering, Technology Development, Design, Characterization and Reliability teams to improve the understanding, prediction and optimization of device performance.\nThe successful candidate will bring strong expertise in semiconductor device physics, compact model development, parameter extraction methodologies and system simulation. This position focuses on enabling accurate device representation and performance prediction across a wide range of power semiconductor technologies.\nWhat You Will Do\nDevelop and maintain advanced semiconductor device models for power MOSFET and emerging power semiconductor technologies.\nBuild compact device models using silicon characterization and simulation data.\nPerform device simulations to understand electrical, thermal and reliability behaviour.\nDrive model calibration, validation and correlation against measured silicon data.\nCollaborate with technology development teams to support new process generations and device architectures.\nAnalyse device performance, switching behaviour and loss mechanisms.\nSupport Design Enablement activities through accurate modelling methodologies.\nContribute to the development of modelling flows, automation frameworks and best practices.\nWork closely with cross-functional R&D teams to evaluate design trade-offs and optimize device performance.\nMentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within modelling projects.\nPresent technical findings to internal stakeholders and contribute to publications, patents and conference activities where appropriate.\nWhat You Bring\nEssential\nPhD or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Semiconductor Physics, or a related discipline.\nExtensive experience in semiconductor device modelling and simulation.\nStrong understanding of semiconductor device physics and power semiconductor technologies.\nExperience in compact model development and parameter extraction methodologies.\nStrong programming and data analysis skills using Python, MATLAB or similar tools.\nExperience correlating simulation results with experimental characterization data.\nKnowledge of system-level simulation techniques and model validation.\nAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary R&D environments.\nPreferred\nExperience with power semiconductor devices, primarily Silicon (Si); experience with SiC and GaN technologies is also considered valuable.\nKnowledge of reliability modelling and semiconductor failure mechanisms.\nExperience supporting technology development or process integration projects.\nFamiliarity with statistical analysis, Design of Experiments (DoE), and model optimization techniques.\nTrack record of publications, patents, or conference presentations.\nWhat We Offer\nOpportunity to work on industry-leading power semiconductor technologies.\nCollaboration with internationally recognized device and technology experts.\nCareer development within a global semiconductor company.\nCompetitive compensation and benefits package.\nTalent acquisition based on Nexperia vacancies is not appreciated.
