This role is responsible for ensuring window and door replacement projects are measured accurately, documented properly, and ready for production.\nOur department combines hands-on fieldwork with modern technology. Depending on business needs and individual responsibilities, technicians may perform on-site measurements, remote measurements using digital tools, or a combination of both.\nWe are actively incorporating AI-assisted technology into our workflows to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline the remeasure process. Successful candidates should be comfortable working with computers, learning new software, and using technology to support accurate results.\nNo prior experience with our specific software or AI tools is required. We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.\nKey Responsibilities\nMeasuring & Technical Accuracy\nReview new sales contracts and project documentation for accuracy and completeness.\nPerform on-site measurements of windows and doors to ensure accurate sizing and proper installation.\nField measurements are to be taken on an iPad.\nPerform remote measurements using available digital tools, project documentation, images, and AI-assisted measurement technology.\nVerify measurements, identify discrepancies, and determine when additional information or an on-site visit is necessary.\nProvide accurate, detailed measurements and specifications to the purchasing and production departments.\nCreate trim and material sheets that outline the necessary materials for project including any pertinent notes about the project.\nReview and complete remeasure paperwork and digital tickets.\nIdentify potential installation issues before products are ordered or installed.\nCommunication & Teamwork\nCommunicate measurement details and installation requirements clearly to installers, sales representatives, purchasing, and production teams.\nProvide written documentation of job-specific instructions and installation considerations.\nCoordinate with office personnel to resolve measurement questions and discrepancies.\nAssist the Installation and Service departments with daily activities and fill-in duties when requested.\nParticipate in department meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nRequired Qualifications & Skills\nExperience in window and door installation, measuring, construction, or a related field is preferred.\nAbility to read and understand a tape measure and accurately record dimensions.\nBasic understanding of window and door construction, installation methods, and terminology.\nBasic computer skills, including the ability to navigate software, enter data, manage digital documents, and learn new applications.\nWillingness to learn and use AI-assisted tools and technology as part of daily work.\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies in measurements and project documentation.\nStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently while contributing to a team environment.\nProfessional phone and in-person communication skills.\nReliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned jobsites, as required.\nA positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to accept feedback and coaching.\nSchedule & Work Environment\nFull-time position.\nWork schedule generally includes Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work as needed.\nCombination of office-based computer work, remote measurement tasks, and fieldwork, depending on assigned responsibilities and department needs.\nWorkload and field requirements may fluctuate
