As a Loss Prevention Officer, you’ll be the frontline of our security, protecting our people, stock, and vehicles across a 24/7 environment. Working closely with your Loss Prevention Manager and site colleagues, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining a professional and secure atmosphere. At NEXT, we’ll provide you with the necessary support and training to get you up to speed, ensuring you have the confidence to manage everything from site access to incident reporting.\nWhat you'll take on\nSecure the site: Monitor access for all staff, visitors, and contractors, ensuring only authorised personnel are on-site.\nProtect our assets: Conduct thorough searches of people and vehicles to deter theft and keep stock loss to an absolute minimum.\nMonitor systems: Oversee CCTV, fire, and intruder alarm systems, responding quickly and effectively to any alerts.\nManage logistics: Control the entry and exit of delivery vehicles and loads, ensuring all movements are logged and secure.\nHandle incidents: Respond to security situations in a calm, professional manner, producing detailed reports and statements for the management team.\nCommunicate risks: Work proactively with your Loss Prevention Manager to identify and report any potential security threats or operational risks.\nWhat you'll bring\nA proactive mindset: You have a \"can-do\" attitude and the initiative to stay one step ahead in a fast-paced warehouse environment.\nExcellent communication: You can build great working relationships with colleagues and visitors, and you're able to deliver information clearly and professionally.\nComposure: You stay calm under pressure and have the confidence to handle difficult situations or conflict with a level head.\nFlexibility: You’re an enthusiastic team player who is happy to adapt to the needs of a 24/7 operation.\nReliability: You take pride in being organised and dependable, ensuring the safety of our site is never compromised.\nPlease note: This role is subject to DBS and credit checks.
