As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building our core domain services. The work takes place in an environment with rigorous requirements for data correctness and auditability, characteristic of the financial sector.

Responsibilities:

• Building core domain services on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) using Java and the Spring framework.
• Designing and implementing RESTful and event-driven APIs.
• Integrating with message brokers to publish and consume domain events.
• Designing and working with PostgreSQL databases for transactional data management.
• Ensuring the highest standards of code security, correctness, and auditability.

Requirements (must have):

• Proficiency in Java programming and a strong understanding of the JVM ecosystem.
• Commercial experience with Spring framework.
• Proficiency in designing distributed systems and integrating with message brokers.
• Commercial experience working with cloud environments (AWS or GCP).
• Strong competencies in relational databases - specifically PostgreSQL.
• Experience in projects within the finance, insurance, FinTech sectors or financial domain.
• Hands-on experience in delivering greenfield projects.
• Ownership and proactivity: You take full responsibility for your tasks, independently diagnose problems, and take the initiative.
• Strong teamwork and a cross-functional mindset: we are looking for someone who doesn't limit themselves to their own specialization but is eager to share knowledge, support others, and work collectively toward the common goal of delivering the MVP.

Nice to Have:

• Practical experience with DDD (Domain-Driven Design), CQRS, and Event Sourcing will be a massive asset, as these are key architectural approaches for our platform.

• Work Model: Hybrid (Warsaw)
• Office Presence: 2x per month.
• Compensation & Contract: B2B contract with 22 paid days off.
