You will protect NEXTDC’s people, assets and information, along with those of our customers.\nYou will manage day to day security operations across our data centres, ensuring alignment with policies and procedures. You will act as the key escalation point for security matters and help embed a customer first mindset across the team.\nThis role plays a vital part in building a culture where security is integrated into everyday decisions and actions.\nAbout the role:\nSecurity\nOversee Security Operations across facilities, ensuring alignment with policy and procedures to maintain the physical integrity and safety of all data centres, in collaboration with Facility Management\nLead and manage daily security operations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and professionalism across all shifts \nAct as the primary escalation point for incidents, service requests, and operational issues \nManage and maintain staff rosters in conjunction with contract security guard provider, including leave planning and short-notice coverage \nEnsure security coverage and operational resilience across the site \nOversee incident management processes, ensuring timely resolution and accurate reporting \nMaintain strong administrative and audit standards, including record keeping and compliance documentation \nIdentify and drive continuous improvement in security processes, systems, and service delivery \nCustomer Focus\nEnsure all customer interactions are timely, courteous and professional \nSupport VIP and large-scale customer events \nProvide clear advice and communication on security service requests and incidents \nTake ownership of complex security issues and escalations, driving prompt resolution \nMaintain deep understanding of customer requirements and contracts \nCollaborate with teams to ensure readiness for new customer onboarding \nDevelop strong knowledge of NEXTDC services, products, operations and incident management \nPeople Management \nLead, support and mentor security team members within the region \nManage Security Team members including regular one-on-ones, feedback and performance \nSupport staff development and organise training as needed \nAssist with rostering, shift coverage and leave management \nOversee recruitment including interviews and hiring decisions \nAct as escalation point for team issues ensuring service continuity \nDelivery Partnerships\nManage delivery partners for personnel provision and service quality \nConduct interviews and make staffing decisions with partners \nResolve service delivery issues quickly to maintain continuity \nFoster strong communication and collaboration with partners \nCollaboration & Innovation\nWork across teams to enhance customer experience and improve processes \nSupport Crisis Management and Disaster Recovery plans \nAssist with critical infrastructure escalations \nChallenge and improve systems and procedures \nFinancial Management \nManage budget and rostering to control costs and avoid overtime overspend \nProcess and validate invoices promptly \nEnsure compliance with financial policies and maintain accurate records \nAudit, Compliance & Reporting\nParticipate in internal, external and customer audits \nMaintain accurate security data and reports \nProvide regular security incident and operational reports \nCoordinate with Customer Solutions and Service teams to ensure smooth operations \nGeneral Duties\nProvide regular updates to Head of Security \nOversee security equipment deployment and maintenance \nComplete administrative and time tracking tasks promptly \nRespond quickly to internal requests and provide feedback on procedures \nAbout you: \nStrong communication and leadership skills \nProven ability to build relationships and manage security operations \nEffective problem solver with negotiation and supplier management experience \nIndependent, organised and detail focused \nExcellent time management and multitasking abilities \nExperienced in managing VIP events and security training \nProficient in MS Office \n Over 6 years managing corporate, physical and information security for Malaysian and international organisations with 200+ employees \nIn-depth knowledge of ISO27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 1 & 2 and related international standards \nStrong understanding of Malaysian workplace health and safety requirements \nExpertise in modern security technologies including CCTV, alarms, access control and vehicle scanners \nExperience managing large scale events and VIP visits \nClass 2(s) Security Licence (desirable) \nFirst Aid and CPR
