This role partners with Engineering, Project Engineers, Operations, Maintenance, Turnarounds, HSSE, and contractors to ensure projects are safely planned, constructible, and successfully executed within an operating LNG facility.\nThe Superintendent leads field activities with particular focus on SIMOPS, tie-ins, outages, constructability, contractor performance, Permit to Work, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Management of Change (MOC), quality, schedule, and safe integration with ongoing plant operations.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nProvide visible field leadership for brownfield projects and construction activities, promoting a strong safety culture and compliance with site HSSE requirements.\nLead field execution from mobilization through construction, testing, commissioning, turnover, and closeout.\nPartner with Engineering and Project Engineers during FEED and detailed engineering to provide construction, field execution, and constructability input.\nParticipate in field walkdowns, constructability reviews, risk assessments, execution reviews, and project readiness activities.\nReview P&IDs, plot plans, layouts, isometrics, work packages, and other engineering deliverables for constructability and field execution requirements.\nCoordinate SIMOPS, tie-ins, isolations, outages, Permit to Work, LOTO, and other activities affecting operating equipment or production.\nDevelop and support execution plans, construction sequencing, look-ahead schedules, work packages, outage plans, and contractor scopes of work.\nEnsure materials, equipment, permits, drawings, resources, inspections, and work areas are field-ready before execution.\nProvide Owner oversight of contractors and subcontractors, including safety, quality, productivity, schedule, staffing, documentation, and field performance.\nCoordinate brownfield project scopes with turnaround planning, schedules, work fronts, contractor resources, commissioning, and operational priorities.\nServe as a field interface among Projects, Engineering, Turnarounds, Operations, Maintenance, HSSE, QA/QC, Planning, Commissioning, and contractors.\nMonitor field progress, productivity, schedule, costs, constraints, field changes, and execution risks; develop or support recovery plans as required.\nCoordinate inspections, testing, mechanical completion, system walkdowns, punch lists, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and turnover activities.\nEnsure redlines, as-builts, quality records, test documentation, and turnover packages are complete and accurate.\nProvide timely field updates and reporting on progress, upcoming work, safety, quality, constraints, risks, and action items.\nEDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES\nBasic Requirements:\nSignificant field construction or project execution experience within LNG, oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, chemical, power generation, or comparable industrial facilities.\nDemonstrated brownfield construction experience within an operating plant environment.\nExperience supporting projects through FEED, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, turnover, and closeout.\nWorking knowledge of SIMOPS, tie-ins, Permit to Work, LOTO, MOC, constructability, mechanical completion, commissioning, and turnover.\nDemonstrated ability to lead contractors, subcontractors, supervisors, and multidisciplinary field teams while managing multiple concurrent work fronts.\nAbility to read and interpret P&IDs, plot plans, equipment layouts, isometrics, specifications, work packages, and construction documentation.\nStrong safety leadership, communication, coordination, decision-making, problem-solving, ownership, and accountability.\nRelevant technical, construction, engineering, or craft qualification, or equivalent demonstrated industry experience.\nAbility to work in an active LNG construction and operating environment, including nights, weekends, holidays, outages, or designated tie-in windows when required.\nPreferred Requirements:\nLNG operating-facility experience.\nPrevious Superintendent or comparable senior field leadership experience.\nFEED and constructability review experience.\nTurnaround (TAR) project planning and execution experience.\nExperience with project controls, field change control, and contractor performance management.\nExperience with commissioning, mechanical completion, startup, and turnover systems.\nSite Working Conditions & Physical Expectations\nWork Environment\nMust be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.\nOperates in a complex construction environment.\nExposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.\nNot necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions.\nExposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits.\nExposure to constant or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction.\nRoutinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios.\nAble to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:\nAbility to drive to other Company work locations as required.\nAbility to move throughout all areas of the facility, including being physically capable of traveling to a designed muster point during emergency situations.\nStand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift.\nThe incumbent is required to have fully mechanical motion and usage of all extremities.\nPhysically able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle, and lift items weighing up to 20 lbs. without assistance.\nVisual acuity corrected to perform job functions.
