Check out ourRGV Spotlight Video to learn more about Brownsville and the Rio Grande Valley!\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDemonstrate proactive safety attitude at all times.\nAlways uses safe work practices and follows NextDecade lifesaving rules and permitting processes.\nMaintains a high focus on safety and wellbeing of execution team, leads by example to set and maintain a positive safety culture of compliance, and continuous improvement for Apprentices and Contractors\nEngages and communicates effectively with other departments such as Engineering, Operations, Safety, Procurement, Training, Planning, Specialist Vendors and Contractors upholding the One-Team approach\nInitial support and continued review of preventative & corrective Maintenance Plans.\nParticipate in the reviewing of maintenance documentation, such as WI’s, JSA’s and SWMMs, Permitting, red lining of documents.\nParticipate in the mechanical maintenance execution activities of all breakdowns, corrective, and preventative maintenance in the facility.\nProvide support to turnarounds as required.\nResponsible to safely complete all assigned activities to a high standard.\nPerform Permit Holder requirements for the execution of work at RGLNG.\nMaintain personal training and competency compliance.\nActively participate and actively all the required maintenance meetings, including HSSE meetings, prestart, tailgates, etc. \nEDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES\nBasic Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nExperienced in the execution of mechanical maintenance activities. \nCompetent at interpreting Engineering Drawings and Documentation.\nExceptional working knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP or Similar)\nExperience developing and reviewing critical Maintenance procedures.\nExceptional working knowledge of an MOC process.\nExperience in frontline leadership during Turnarounds.\nRelevant LNG Mechanical Pipefitter maintence experience including Fabrication and/or repair of piping, etc. using various welding processes as required (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) Blinding of pipes, vessels, tanks, exchangers, etc. to prepare equipment for operations and maintenance.\nMechanical LNG experience including Turbo machinery, compressors, loading arms, PSV’s, pumps, motors, vessels, valves, actuators, fin fans and flange management a must. \nComputer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nMust have a “hands-on” method of working.\nParticipate as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to support on-site emergencies. \nAbility to get Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC).\nPreferred Requirements:\n· Technical degree in Industrial Mechanical or similar and NCCER (Millwright/Pipefitter/Boilermaker).\n· 5+ years Hydrocarbon/Petrochemical experience in a Mechanical Maintenance Technician role.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted and push/pull with up to 50 pounds of force.\nRequired to grip objects with up to 50 pounds of force.\nFrequent standing, walking, balancing, climbing stairs and ladders.\nRegular reaching, bending, stooping, handling and spinal twisting.\nUse of hands, arms and legs to lift. Ability to push and pull machinery and other mechanical components.\nSite Working Conditions & Physical Expectations\nWork Environment\nMust be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.\nOperates in a complex construction environment.\nExposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.\nNot necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions.\nExposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits.\nExposure to constant or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction.\nRoutinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios.\nAble to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:\nAbility to drive to other Company work locations as required.\nAbility to move throughout all areas of the facility, including being physically capable of traveling to a designed muster point during emergency situations.\nStand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift.\nThe incumbent is required to have fully mechanical motion and usage of all extremities.\nPhysically able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle, and lift items weighing up to 20 lbs. without assistance.\nVisual acuity corrected to perform job functions.
