Please include a portfolio link along with your resume.\nLead design and UX strategy for monetization experiences, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to drive measurable revenue impact\nDesign cohesive, end-to-end journeys that move customers from first discovery to long-term, repeat value, reducing friction at every step\nAdvocate for a user-first approach to monetization, ensuring revenue-driving experiences integrate seamlessly into core user journeys without disrupting engagement or eroding trust\nUse qualitative and quantitative research to inform design decisions, working closely with researchers and data analysts to validate hypotheses and refine solutions\nDevelop and refine user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that improve engagement, conversion, and retention while maintaining a positive user experience\nDrive experimentation and A/B testing with product and analytics teams to measure and optimize the impact of UX improvements on revenue and key business metrics\nContribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency in UI components across surfaces\nInfluence product and business decisions by communicating UX rationale to stakeholders, including executives, through storytelling and data-driven insights\nMentor and guide other designers, providing feedback, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team\nEnsure accessibility and inclusivity across monetization experiences by following best practices and advocating for diverse user perspectives\nStay ahead of industry trends in monetization, AI-driven personalization, and ethical design to inform innovation and future roadmap planning\nWhat You'll Bring To The Team\n8+ years of experience in UX design, product design, or a related field, with a strong track record of designing and shipping user-centered products\nDeep expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and usability principles, with a portfolio demonstrating impactful work in complex systems\nExperience designing monetization experiences, ideally within a marketplace, social platform, or other consumer or two-sided environment\nExperience unifying fragmented product experiences into a cohesive end-to-end journey\nStrong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods, with the ability to synthesize insights into actionable design decisions\nProficiency in Figma and other design tools for creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs\nExperience working with and contributing to design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across surfaces\nAbility to lead design strategy and influence cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, marketers, and data scientists\nStrong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale and advocate for user needs to senior stakeholders\nExperience conducting A/B tests and working with analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel) to measure the impact of design decisions\nPassion for staying ahead of industry trends, particularly in monetization, personalization, and ethical design\nNice to Have\nExperience with AI-driven personalization and recommendation systems\nBackground in UX research\nJoin us to design products that make a real-world impact, strengthening communities and bringing people closer together.\nRewards\nCompensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs at Nextdoor come together to create our total rewards package. Compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.\nThe starting salary for this role is expected to range from $186,150-$203,000 on an annualized basis, or potentially greater in the event that your 'level' of proficiency exceeds the level expected for the role. The salary range will be determined by the candidate’s geographic location.\nWe expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role.
