Procurement Supervisor

Nextern, an US based innovator in developing and manufacturing class II & III electro-mechanical medical devices is seeking a Procurement Supervisor for its Binh Duong, Vietnam location. The Procurement Supervisor of Supply Chain is a key member of the Supply Chain Team and a talented group of professionals who work with and manage suppliers to assure Nextern Procurement, costing, schedules and production priorities are maintained and deliver Quality Products that exceed customer expectations. Continuous communication with the supplier and Nextern team that assures the supplier is maintaining the best interests of Nextern.

Job Description:

Overall Responsibilities:

1. Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.

2. Understand key manufacturing functions, including:

- Procurement and Cost Management

- Planning and Scheduling

- Manufacturing Processes and Systems

- Logistics and Supply Chain

3. Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Planning and Production teams to resolve supplier quality, tooling, and production issues.

4. Lead supplier negotiations to achieve competitive and justified costs for direct and indirect materials.

5. Drive commitment to on-time delivery in line with production schedules and Nextern requirements.

6. Provide timely and accurate updates to the corporate office and management team on supplier delivery status, operational issues, and significant changes.

7. Escalate supplier changes or issues that may impact Nextern's cost, quality, delivery, or production.

8. Evaluate and analyze product and tooling quotations for pricing, materials, lead times, MOQ, and other commercial terms.

9. Verify invoices against approved quotations and purchase orders for accurate quantities, pricing, and charges.

10. Manage daily procurement priorities based on production requirements and corporate direction.

11. Respond to emails, requests, and assigned tasks accurately and on time.

12. Reconcile month-end supplier statements, deliveries, invoices, and outstanding payments with Finance.

13. Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations.

14. Perform other duties assigned by the Manager.

Qualification:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field, with a strong background in procurement.

2. 3-5 years of experience in Procurement Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

4. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, management, suppliers, and internal customers.

5. Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple activities, and meet deadlines.

6. Analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

7. Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.

8. Computer literacy and experience with ERP systems.
