Visual inspection will be conducted on products in order to ensure product conformance to customer specifications. IMTE use may include calipers, pin gauges, micrometers, vision systems (Keyence, OGP, Micro-Vu), and other inspection equipment. This position assures product conformance for dimensional, electrical, and visual workmanship standards in accordance with drawings and specifications. Review of work orders (Travelers) for GDP (Good Documentation Practices) as well as verifying correct revision of MP (Manufacturing Procedures) were utilized during the manufacturing process. This position may be responsible for managing and monitoring material flow through the Manufacturing area.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nUses Inspection, Measurement, and Test Equipment to verify product conformance to mechanical and electrical acceptance requirements.\nUses visual means to verify product conformance to released specification revision.\nManages material flow based on urgent need or a first in first out basis.\nEffective communication to project teams and inspection team regarding issues or failures during inspection. \nIs self-motivated, able to work independently, and function as an effective team member.\nAble to work in multiple electronic systems for inspection logging, inventory movement, and non-conformance entry.\nPerforms data entry and/or report writing.\nApprove Traveler Documents and/or Inspection documents. \nDemonstrates safe work habits, maintains clean and safe work area.\nRequirements\nQUALIFICATIONS\nRequired:\n2+ years of Manufacturing inspection experience or equivalent. \nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED).\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret instructions, inspection criteria, and engineering drawings that are in English.\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers and managers.\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.\nWillingness to be flexible with day to day tasks as the organization requires.\nStrong organization skills\nMust be able to work in a fast paced environment\nPreferred:\nWorking knowledge of equipment capability, accuracy, and resolution.\nAble to read a blueprint and determine appropriate inspection equipment. \nSalary range: $22 to 35/hr based on skills and experience\nBenefits\nHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)\nRetirement Plan with Company Match\nPaid Time Off, Personal Days, AND Birthday Holiday!\nLifetime Membership Subsidy and Wellness Resources\nLife Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)\nFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)\nShort-Term & Long-Term Disability\nTaco Thursdays!!!\nNextern is an equal opportunity employer.
