You'll build on your engineering foundations, apply what you've learned about AI, and develop your skills through hands-on work.\nAt Nexthink, we support future professionals as they develop their careers through a collaborative environment of continuous learning. You'll work closely with engineers responsible for one of the domains in our system, learning from the team while contributing to its work.\nThe roadmap includes new development and technical optimizations, giving you opportunities to learn while contributing to our product.\nWhat you'll do\nAssist in developing and testing Java-based software solutions.\nApply your programming skills and AI knowledge to the team's work.\nLearn how the team builds software and approach technical improvements alongside its engineers. Collaborate with senior engineers throughout the development process, including agile team meetings, code reviews and software maintenance.\nLearn and apply software development best practices and coding standards.\nContribute to documentation for the features you help develop.\nBuild the engineering skills needed to take on more responsibility over the course of your internship.\n Working towards a master's degree in AI or a related field after completing your undergraduate degree. A bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or a related field, with a master's degree in AI or a closely related area in progress or recently completed. Other educational paths will also be considered if you have the relevant engineering and AI foundations.\nAcademic or personal projects involving retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), search optimization, or the databases supporting AI applications.\nA theoretical understanding of microservices is nice to have.\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes and distributed systems; Kafka is a plus.\nA foundation in software engineering, including programming knowledge and an understanding of how software is built.\nKnowledge and practice of SOLID principles.\nA collaborative approach to teamwork and strong problem-solving skills.\nAttention to detail, time management and organizational skills.\nClear communication skills in English.\nAn interest in developing both your software engineering and AI skills.\nThe ability to learn new technologies independently.\n We are the pioneers and trailblazers of a global IT Market Category (DEX) that is shaping the future of how the world works, giving our customers’ IT Teams total digital visibility across their enterprise.
