We believe there is much more to an internet company than just delivering cost-effective internet solutions; we believe in delivering an overall customer experience that our competitors simply cannot match.\nThe Fleet Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and diagnostics on company vehicles and equipment to ensure they operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and DOT regulations. This role plays a key part in minimizing downtime and keeping the fleet in optimal condition.Pay: $20/hour \nEssential Functions:\nReasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nDiagnose mechanical issues on light and heavy-duty vehicles.\nMaintain accurate records for repairs, inspections and parts used in accordance with company policy.\nPerform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake services and inspections.\nInstall, troubleshoot, and maintain asset cameras, GPS tracking devices, and any other telematics devices.\nHandle and assist with any upfit installations or modifications required by the company. (ex: toolboxes, lighting, decals, etc.)\n· Inspect vehicles to identify safety issues, defects or needed repairs.\n· Transport company vehicles between locations, repair facilities, or job sites as needed. Assist with moving vehicles for maintenance, inspections, or operational needs.\n· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.\n· Operate company tools and equipment responsibly and safely.\n· Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and company policies.\n· Communicate effectively with management and the fleet department regarding vehicle status and needed repairs.\n· Perform any other duties or tasks assigned by management to support the needs of the department or company operations.\nOversee proper outfitting of vehicles with safety and emergency equipment.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant vocational training preferred.\nMinimum 2 years of experience in mechanical work, automotive logistics, or related field.\n· Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.\nMust possess a valid CDL\nMust be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a valid DOT medical examiner’s certificate (company-paid).\nStrong understanding of vehicle maintenance and DOT compliance\nSkills\nStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage time effectively.\nJob Classification:\nFleet\nExempt\nWork Environment/Hazards\nSpringtown, TX\nPrimarily warehouse-based with periodic exposure to outdoor elements such as heat, cold, and precipitation.\nModerate noise level.\nPhysical Demands:\nRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.\nVisual acuity, speech and hearing, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment.\nRequired to sit, stand, and move about warehouse.\nMust be able to communicate via email and telephone.\nWorking Hours/Days:\nFull-time\nMonday through Friday (40 hours/week)\nNights & weekends as needed\nTravel Requirements:\n0-20% travel required\nJob Type: Full-time\nBenefits:\n401(k)\n401(k) matching\nDental insurance\nHealth insurance\nLife insurance\nPaid time off\nVision insurance\nWork Location: In person\nAffirmative Action (AAP/EEO Statement):\nNextlink is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
