We believe there is much more to an internet company than just delivering cost-effective internet solutions; we believe in delivering an overall customer experience that our competitors simply cannot match.\n*6 MONTH PAY INCREASES for NEXT 2 YEARS*\nJob Summary:\nResponsible for the installation of all aspects of wireless tower site electronics and hardware, cabling, and electrical where applicable\nEssential Functions:\nReasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nSuccessfully complete and maintain the tower safety and rescue training program.\nClimbing and working on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment; performs tower maintenance.\nKnowing the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment.\nInspect completed work to ensure all hardware is tight, antennas are level, hangers are properly fastened, proper support is in place, or adequate weather proofing has been installed.\nRecognizing safety hazards and performing duties in a safe manner.\nRun appropriate power, ground, fiber, Cat5e and/or coaxial cables\nCheck antenna positioning to ensure specified azimuths or mechanical tilts and adjust as necessary.\nInspect telecommunications equipment to identify problems.\nThe ability to climb tall structures up to 500 feet with a load.\nTransport equipment to work sites, using utility trucks and equipment trailers.\nLift equipment into position safely, using rigging tools or equipment such as capstan hoist.\nComplete reports related to outages, project status, progress, or other work details, using phone and computer software.\nEmployee weight and tools combined may not exceed 300-pound weight limit as specified by the manufacturer of safety equipment.\nClimb towers to access components, using safety equipment and techniques learned from the tower safety and rescue training program.\nOther duties as assigned\nSkills:\nComfortable and recent experience working in the outdoor\nWork with basic hand tools\nMust have a team-oriented mentality and be safety conscious\nMust pass a drug screening test and a criminal background check\nMust pass in-house training program\nMust have a valid driver’s license with a safe/acceptable driving record in compliance with company policy\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent preferred\nWorking knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment\nWork Environment/Hazards\nWorking in outdoor elements such as cold, hot, precipitation and wind\nUse of PPE\nClimbing and work in an elevated position that is +/- 250 feet with climbing equipment\nComfortable working alone and working closely with others\nPhysical Demands\nStationary position for 8-10 hours a day\nFrequently moving, transporting, positioning objects of 50 pounds or more\nMust be able to pull own body weight plus equipment weight up a vertical tower repeatedly\nFrequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated position that is +/- 250 feet\nFrequently required to use hand and power tools\nWorking Hours/Days:\nIrregular hours\nMonday through Friday\nFull Time\nMin 40 hours, flexible schedule\nOvertime as needed\nOn call rotation required; frequency of rotation is based on team size\nTravel Requirements:\n20-40% voluntary travel or as needed\nOvernight travel required as needed\nJob Type: Full-time\nBenefits:\n401(k)\n401(k) matching\nDental insurance\nEmployee discount\nHealth insurance\nHealth savings account\nLife insurance\nOpportunities for advancement\nPaid time off\nPaid training\nParental leave\nReferral program\nSafety equipment provided\nVision insurance\nAffirmative Action (AAP/EEO Statement):\nNextlink is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
