Level I Physicist entry level, masters degree and completion of physics residency program and board eligible.\n\nMinimum Experience: Completion of residency program and board eligible. \n\nOther:\n\nPreferred Job Qualifications\nPreferred Licensure or other certifications:\n\nPreferred Educational Requirements:\n\nPreferred Experience:\n\nOther:\n\nJob Specific and Unique Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nComputer programming\n\nStrong mathematical and analytical skills required\n\nEssential Tasks and Responsibilities\nEstablishes and meets individual and departmental goals and objectives for the year.\n\nAssists in establishing measurable goals and objective in accordance with specified system-wide and divisional goals and objectives.\n\nImplements a plan to accomplish goals and objectives within the specified time frame.\n\nMeasures accomplishments and revises plans to reach goals.\n\nReports achievement measurements at least quarterly.\n\nEstablishes and coordinates policies and systems affecting the department.\n\nAssists in maintaining policies and systems in compliance with DNV standards.\n\nAssists in maintaining policies and procedures in compliance with State and Federal regulations and recommended national physics protocols.\n\nAssists in quality assurance testing in department to ensure a high quality of reliability and safety.\n\nAssists in completing yearly equipment calibrations according to department procedures.\n\nAssists in completing acceptance testing of equipment before clinical use.\n\nAssists in performing weekly/monthly quality assurance testing of new equipment as required by department procedures.\n\nAssists in implementing quality assurance testing to assure efficient machine integrity and assists in maintaining patient safety control measures as required by Georgia Dept. of Resources, Federal and JCAHO requirements.\n\nUses proper techniques accurately and on a timely basis for external beam applications.\n\nAssists in providing data for initial record and verify chart checks on all patients undergoing team treatment.\n\nAssists in clinical support for treatment planning required for quality patient care.\n\nAssists in providing treatment aids accurately and on time.\n\nAssists in providing patient dissymmetric data to be used in treatment planning.\n\nAssists in providing accurate computer/manual calculations.\n\nPhysical Demands\nWeight Lifted: Up to 50 lbs, Frequently 31-65% of time\n\nWeight Carried: Up to 20 lbs, Frequently 31-65% of time\n\nVision: Moderate, Frequently 31-65% of time\n\nKneeling/Stooping/Bending: Frequently 31-65%\n\nStanding/Walking: Constantly 66-100%\n\nPushing/Pulling: Frequently 31-65%\n\nIntensity of Work: Frequently 31-65%\n\nJob Requires: Reading, Writing, Reasoning, Talking, Keyboarding\n\nExposure to radiation, lead alloys, high voltage, toxic gases, fluoride, explosives, hot water, mechanics and radio frequency.
