This is an exciting opportunity to support experienced clinicians to regain their professional registration, rebuild confidence and return to clinical practice.\nAbout the role\nWorking within the NHS Professionals Academy, you will provide clinical, educational and operational leadership for the Return to Practice Programme, including NMC Test of Competence preparation (OSCE and CBT) and preceptorship support. You will lead a dedicated team of Clinical Educators, ensuring high-quality, inclusive and evidence-based learning.\nYour key responsibilities will include:\nLead the design, development and delivery of the Test of Competence Return to Practice Programme.\nManage, support and develop a team of Clinical Educators.\nOversee clinical education, simulation training, assessment preparation and learner support.\nEnsure programme delivery meets NMC requirements, clinical governance and quality assurance standards.\nBuild relationships with NHS Trusts, education providers and other stakeholders.\nMonitor learner progress, programme outcomes and continuous improvement.\nDevelop sustainable workforce pathways for returning clinicians.\nAbout The Candidate\nAbout you\nWe are looking for a knowledgeable, collaborative clinical education professional who is passionate about helping others succeed. \nCurrent NMC registration \nA clinical qualification at degree level or equivalent experience. \nA recognised clinical education or practice development qualification. \nSignificant experience in clinical education, learning and development or practice development. \nExperience developing and delivering healthcare education programmes. \nStrong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. \nUnderstanding of clinical governance, quality assurance and professional education standards. \nExperience of Return to Practice programmes, NMC Test of Competence preparation or preceptorship would be particularly valuable. \nWhy join NHS Professionals?\nAt NHS Professionals, we are passionate about putting people in places to care.
