The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills and be able to provide expert technical guidance for engineering initiatives. You will guide the team to follow best-in-class development and testing practices to deliver high-quality products.\nHow will you make an impact?\nOwn and continuously improve the SDLC, including code review, branching, release, and test automation standards, to shorten release cycles and reduce escaped defects.\nWork closely with product managers, QA engineers, technical writers, and software engineers to define/develop features - big and small for our products.\nActively guide and mentor the team to develop product features.\nAssist in the development of short, medium, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives\nDrive and impact all current processes related to software development and improvements across the org as necessary.\nManage all aspects of the team, such as hiring, reviews, mentoring, and promotions, etc.\nPrioritize, assign and manage department activities and projects in accordance with the R&D department’s goals and objectives.\nDevelop performance-oriented culture\nPromote innovation and ensure best software quality of products\nQualifications:\n13+ years of experience in Software Engineering including 4+ years building cloud or SaaS products.\n3+ years leading engineering teams.\nOwn the technical design and architecture review process for the team, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards\nOwn production readiness: SLAs/SLOs, monitoring, incident response, and post-incident reviews\nEnsure security and compliance by design (data protection, access control, audit logging, SOC 2 and similar frameworks)\nExperience building products using architecture guidelines particularly using public cloud\nShould have extensive experience with large products (large number of stakeholders, multi locations/global footprint, complex SaaS products)\nStrong technical background in Node.js/TypeScript and AWS-based microservices; able to review code and guide design decisions.\nProven track record of managing the development of enterprise-grade software products that can perform, scale, and integrate into a broad enterprise ecosystem.\nExperience building software using AIDLC and AI assisted coding tools.\nExperience developing Cloud based software products that can perform, scale, and integrate into a broad Cloud ecosystem.\nExperience with CI CD practices using standard tools such as Jenkins, Docker, VMs and Artifactory\nWorking knowledge IaC tools like Terraform or OpenTofu.\nEffective People Management skills - Holds team members accountable and inspires, motivates, develops, and engages team to create strong morale and spirit; shares wins and successes; fosters open dialogue, and creates a feeling of belonging in the team\n What’s in it for you?\nJoin an ever-growing, market disrupting, global company where the teams - comprised of the best of the best - work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and creative environment!
