For the world's and people's tomorrows; the world's first, the world's best technologies and products; we will continue our part in creating a better society.\nJob Summary\nJob Description\nObjective\nWorks within Advanced Purchasing and cross-functionally with New Product Launch and Cost Planning to manage Opportunity Matrix, Component EOL, BOM, IR/QAF, COS, NPOS, Invoice processes, Supplier Risk Evaluations, and assure business processes/documents are uploaded within the respective systems, with secured approval authority.\nEssential Responsibilities\n· Manage Bill of Material(BOM), Item Register, Quote Approval Format(IR/QAF), Cost of Sales(COS), No Product Sign-off(NPSO), Invoicing/Invoicing discrepancies, Supplier Portal activities Tracker processes and Supplier Risk Evaluations, and documents all processes into their respective systems.\n· Work cross-functionally with New Product Launch team to understand, then process the priorities of new programs and working with AP to ensure successful closure BOMs (Bill of Materials) to support those new programs.\n· Update Opportunity Matrix continuously to understand new programs’ sourcing to use for Sourcing Manager negotiations\n· Manage Component EOL (End of Life) situations. Work cross functionally to understand which programs are affected, understand future requirements, and track Last Time Buy's to ensure no disruption to supply for customer programs.\n· Work cross-functionally with Cost Planning team to understand programs with less than 10% Operating Profit. Once BOMs, components are identified, work with AP team to negotiate or look to resource components to drive toward.\n· Support the Advanced Purchasing Strategic Group Manager and Department on a daily basis, implementing new procedures and documentation to ensure compliance and correct usage.\n· Create/Compile business statistical reports.\n· Compose / Generate correspondence/reports and support department records retention requirements.\n· Maintain invoices / purchase orders / business correspondence, or other printed materials.\n· Support Advanced Purchasing with any additional projects and needs, as needed.\n· Communicate to Electrical/Mechanical Suppliers via email to receive / record feedback to prevent catastrophic issues during mass societal issues (tsunami, earthquake, virus).\n· Responsible for IQR’s. Work closely with Cost Planning to ensure timely submission of IQR’s.\n· Conduct electronic quote requests from suppliers, as needed.\nExperience: 3+ years’ Advanced Purchasing Sourcing Specialist(Electronics) with direct Semi-conductor sourcing experience.\nEducation: Bachelor Degree Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred or 5+ year’s progressive work experience as an Advanced Purchasing Specialist(Electronics) within the Automotive Industry with considerable responsibility sourcing Semiconductor components.\nCertifications: N/A\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities\n· Strong Commodity Negotiations Experience with Standard Negotiating Processes.\n· High exposure to Custom Part EOL (End-of-Life) management processes and formal LTB (Last Time Buy) procedures.\n· Strong familiarity with Semiconductor Suppliers and Semiconductor Market dynamics.\n· Direct Working knowledge with Automotive Industry Advanced Purchasing Requirements / Processes.\n· Expert Negotiation strategy that is clearly exhibited by past negotiation success.\nKnowledge of workplace software used for word processing, spreadsheets, planning, presentations, and e-mail.\nStrong MS Suite skills (Microsoft Office, Word and Excel and Access).\nStrong math aptitude.\nKnowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field,\nUse experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.\nEffective time and resources manager.\nHigh attention to detail, be highly organized and be highly efficient and effective.\nStrong problem solving/analytic skills\nScope of Supervision: N/A\nTravel Required: Negligible\nPhysical Demand (Special Considerations): While performing the duties of this job, the employee is consistently required to sit and talk or hear.
